Here to leave my weekly "What a wonderful monologue guest! Great segment! My son works at AZ. For the past 6 months, I think, Bezos has been in the process of stepping down. Things have gone from 'worker supportive/friendly' to robot chaos. They divided their main shift last summer into Sort Zero (6 pm to 3 am) plus 'Mega Cycle' (3:20 am to 2 pm). I guess to have fewer people together. They also remodeled their toilet facilities and break room to create more room but that building is unique in being really huge. They just put the two cycles back together, now not under jeff, is totally chaotic being back to 'Mega Cycle.' It goes 1:30 am to 12 pm 4 days/week. They under-pay the line workers who unload, sort and reload/pack, middle management has to go around and tell them to hurry up (like they weren't). They do stagger sign in and out, breaks and lunches. I guess just FYI. They would like to have robot/machines do most of the work, fewer humans to deal with. I have worked at Lowe's before and the deal is, they make you watch a video when you sign on, in the training stuff, that you agree to deal directly with the company and not to ever mention unions. I think you can be fired just for talking to union reps.AZ I believe has a similar thing. Yes, some of their facilities people do stand shoulder-to-shoulder.
