Didn't notice before just how handsome Lovett is. Wow. He's sweet and funny and sometimes ascerbic, but most of all his attempts at mordant humor are usually betrayed by his kindness. He really is a treasure. Oh, and I'm not an American, but a Scottish viewer. Hope this doesn't count against me '0) Oh, and his guest is rather lovely too.

You guys! I went with my kids to a mass covid vax site near us, a drive thru, because we heard they might have available doses for general public if you could get there by a certain time, and for the ONLY time ever upon seeing the-last-guy's 2020 bumper stickers on vehicles I friggin cheered. And it gave me a teensy-weensy bit of hope to add to my 2021 hope thimble.

Another mis-aged mother: Angela Lansbury in the original Manchurian Candidate - she was actually younger than the actor playing her son. But she made it work.

I opened HBO Max on my phone, clicked Justice League, saw it was 4:3, and asked "What fucking IMAX screen do they expect me to have?" I'm being hospitalized right now so I guess I can watch it on a slightly larger screen when I manage to get a laptop or once I'm home. I expected the end to turn into a "Let them fuck" chant and was ready to join in. Would the night nurse have requested a psych eval for me? Probably. Could I convince that psychologist that it's the right thing to do? Definitely.

Hollywood casts 30 year olds to play teens and 25 year olds to play a 35 year old man's mom. With that pattern, the teen daughter in the homecoming scandal movie will be played by a 35 yo, and her mom will be a 22 yo.

In regards to the Mank Age difference, lets also point out that Gary Oldman was 20 years OLDER than the character he was playing...

@@sauceberg720 yeah, the thing is, She is around 8 years younger than she's supposed to be which, while not great, isn't too crazy (hollywood has done much worse haha) but him being almost 30 years her senior made it feel very weird and made her youth seem all the more apparent... Both are good actors, and so i can see either of them getting the part for their skill and then the other roll should have been adjusted accordingly, but BOTH being out of sync with the age created a gap that was just plain weird...

Lovett your edit of the film clips was my favorite thing of today. KIDDING. It was really funny! If there was somehow footage of Superman saying, "At LEAST get the sweats with pockets," I would've Ted Cruz-ed in my pants. Fortune is....just the fucking deal. And...her? As your straight man? This works. I 💖 🐑 p.s. one of your film edit choices made me realize you either KNOW I've had a fortunate career in international figure skating (and were signaling to me) or....if we meet you'll ask me to icks-nay on the inure skating-fay.

(I am a legal academic.) I don't know how else to contact You Mr Lovett so i will post this comment here and trust to the internet fairies: A lot of commentators are missing the most important legal argument relating to the SC challenge to the right for union entry. The problem with that the assertion that the right for a union organizer to enter a commercial property is a 'property right' is faulty. An 'easement' is a property right 'in chose'. It is (in legal terms) 'a chose in action' - or, an intangible property right held by a third party to a title. For a 'chose' to exist the claimant must be able to demonstrate that the title in question is encumbered by tradition or requirement. There is no need to go any further in the legal analysis simply because none of the commercial titles in question are suffering any such claim. The state is not levying a 'chose in action' against those who engage in commercial activity and thus employ citizens. All commercial actors who employ people are warranted the same treatment regardless of the status of the title the business occupies so it is not a 'chose in action' as it attaches to a commercial situation - not a title. No landowner who does not engage in commercial activity is encumbered and any landowner who feels that the infringement is intolerable is free to not engage in commercial activities (as is anyone who does not like paying business taxes or abiding by anti-discrimination law). If you exercise the licensed privilege of engaging in commercial activity then you either abide by the rules or cop the consequences - that is the American way. (an opinion by a doctoral student in law)

Two things. One - The Elders of Zion thing was actually Russian propaganda from 1903, which the Nazis took and ran with, but it's not originally a Nazi thing. Everything is Russia's fault. XD Two - The Snyder cut is way too damn long, but it is soooo much better than the Wheedon film that it's actually worth the time you will lose forever. I personally would have edited out about an hour of it, most of the slow mo shots and the gratuitous singing, but other than that, it's a film that actually made sense. I nearly cried when they EXPLAINED crap that made no freaking sense in the original film.
