A big congratulations, lovely, hardworking, Sarah, on passing the NY State RN Exam! Good Job! You are BLESSED with a loving and supportive mate, too. Btw, I think America, in general, has a nursing shortage, and with your experience, you could probably easily get a visa and a work permit. I have an autoimmune disease which at times results in my having to be hospitalized on occasion for treatment, and a large percentage of the nursing staff consists of people who aren't Americans, in fact, most of these guest workers seem to be from the Philipines, Africa, or the Caribbean. Since you have close, helpful relatives who are already working as medical people on Long Island, that, at least to me, seems like a good opportunity to earn those needed 250 hours. May God continue to BLESS you and your beautiful family. 👍❤🙏

Travel Nurse of 18 years & it's a fabulous way to get experience in other disciplines of Nursing! I went from Neuro/Trauma to Cardio/Thoracic to General ICU! It's usually a 13 week assignment with options to renew! You can go home between assignments to be with family! Also, you can manipulate your schedule to go home while on assignment!

My niece and nephew were also license in New York but they were RN in the Philippines. They’ve been living in Winnipeg for 10 yrs but only work as Healthcare aid. They applied in Advent Health in Celebration Florida through the recommendation of their nurse friend at Advent Health. They successfully transferred their New York license to Florida and now work at Advent Health for almost a year.

Oh Wow!!! After hearing the full story I think with you having four family members that work at different hospitals I think you will have more of an opportunity to get a job as a R.N. to complete what you need for certification purposes to work in a Canadian hospital. It is a journey that you would need to go through but only for a short period of time. Hopefully this helps; I will keep you and your family in prayer 🙏 in your decision making.

Now I am retired and I am still thankful to our Lord that I passed it . 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Congratulations , the possibilities of working in America are endless 🎊🎈🍾🎉Search for a hospital/ nursing home anywhere in New York that will petitions for nurses under working or permanent visa ( in your case it’s easier because you have the license already . Alberta ( Canada) not accepting your license is a good sign, that means you’re better off in New York, high salaries etc for nurses ❤

If you were an American, and you had your nursing license from New York, you could you could work as a nurse in Oklahoma if you apply for a license by endorsement. Sarah, maybe you could go that route. It looks like you'll have to drive across the border to Utah and maybe work as a traveling nurse.
