There was never anyone who wrote poignant words as consistantly as he did. 🤷🏻‍♂ Surely that is why so many singers had to cover his tunes . . . and then . . . he sang well, he played well, and was a really good actor. Hello Carlo and thank you my dear friend. 🙏 I think Willie and many others might think like that because Kris' lyrics were so heartfelt, meaningful and profound. 🤷🏻‍♂ The Beatles, the Stones and many others wrote excellent songs and that's a fact, but Kris wrote differently, and I think we have to remember . . . . he was basically an American 'country' lyricist . . . emphasis on 'American'. Having said all of that, there have been so many brilliant songwriters throughout the ages . . . especially in our lifetime. We have been so lucky to be alive in that era.
