Nice videos bro I’ve been using. I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 short bed would like to make it positive traction would you know what year model of rear end I can take off that would fit my truck

Thank you! Yes you should be able to use a rear end from any 99 to 2006 silverado or sierra 1500. You may need to get an adapter u-joint because there are a few different sizes GM used but otherwise they will bolt right in.

When I make my 2000 Chevy Silverado a positive traction truck with 3.73 gears not for racing will be a daily driver would I need to change my 4L60E or not

no, changing to 3.73 and a posi won't hurt the transmission you can leave it alone. It will be important though that you get someone to change the rear axle ration in the computer. The computer uses the rear axle ratio for all kinds of mathematic functions including the speedometer reading accurately, when to shift gears in the transmission, when to lock or unlock the torque converter clutch, etc.

I don't plan to sell it, it's one of the nicer trucks I have. But if someone made me a juicy offer I might sell it, the market for single cab short bed trucks is pretty insane right now.

Jason, could I speak with you? I’ll buy merch or something? I have questions with the power steering. I have a 2004 Lm4 and it’s going into a 2002 single cab that had a 4.3, I started buying the v8 power steering for my year trucks 5.3 but I think the power steering pump won’t match up. I think I need to use the v6 one and reapply everything but how do I find the brackets?

So the pump itself is the same between the v6 and v8 trucks, the only difference is if it's 2wd or 4wd. The pumps internal pressure regulator is set differently for the 2wd rack and pinion VS the 4wd gear box. The brackets between the V6 and V8 are different. Also the LM4 was only used in the GMT360 platform and uses a power steering pump and bracket unique to that chassis. All you need to do is take your original power steering pump off the the V6 engine and bracket, get a power steering pump/alternator bracket for a 99 to 06 silverado or sierra that originally had a v8 (4.8, 5.3, 6.0 all use the same bracket) and put your power steering pump in that bracket and mount it to your LM4. Then just reconnect your factory lines.

Hey Jason I'm kinda puzzled right now and had some questions? Hope all's well. My ? Is my 05 4.3 only has 1 fuel line and evap line like yours but this 02 5.3 I looked up diagrams and they show 2 fuel lines and the evap line going to evap canister and 3 nipples in fuel pump so do I just transfer that whole assembly being both fuel lines and third evap with evap canister, & fuel pump over to my 05 4.3 or do I just use a 05 intake instead of 02 to retain 2 fuel lines lines like you did and ignore the fact that 02 5.3 had 3 lines and a evap canister beside fuel tank I wasn't sure if I could that being that the 02 Intake has the 3rd entry for 3rd line and 05 intake I have only has 2 entry .

Yeah, so in 2003 gm went to the returnless style fuel system with the fuel pressure regulator in the tank, since your truck is an 05 it has the regulator in the tank. So, the least complicated way to make your setup work, would be to get a set of returnless fuel rails for your 5.3 and use those instead of the return style fuel rails that your 2002 5.3 currently has on it. If you do that you'll need to have the tune in the pcm adjusted to make sure it doesn't get lean at wide open throttle.

Found out my trucks an 06 with it being an 06 it has a returnless fuel system with the regulator in tank like you told me so with that knowledge can't I just use the V6 lines like you did and use this 04 intake I have with the returnless fuel rails and it connect like factory and completely forget about the 02 lines and canister I got? Also with finding out my trucks a 06 do you think my 05 harness and 05 PCM might be an issue?

Yes you can do that, your 05 harness and pcm should work, the only hangup could be if your 05 harness and pcm dont have the GBCM, if the pcm isn't programmed for the EBCM it'll turn your battery light on.

​@@MohawkMotors Ok Ok so yea the 05 i have has the gbcm plug and the pcm not sure ill have to check but now i got another question? either i put a 02 4l60e in and didt notice or in 06 the 4.3 06 netural switch is the same as a 02. I was putting my harness on and notcied my trans netrual switch is the same as 02 style i did some googling and found that there interchangble just wanted to ask you if there actually interchangeble or do you know anything about this i looked up diagrams there very similar but yea.

yeah the only difference between to 99 to 02 and late 03 to 07 classic PRNDL (neutral safety) switches are the plugs. they do the same job and mount to the transmission the same way, gm just changed from the 2 plug connection on the 99 to 02 models to a single plug connection on the later models.
