balancing any lhr is always a little tricky, especially with a glass top. soon as it flips back a lot of that weight is transferred thus making the door initially hot...nice job 👍

Another hard video to do. Can I chime on a few points. 1st Weigh the door. 2nd. Use Service spring app. or Amarr configurator. Best tools since the cordless. If you don't have the Amarr. Get it 3rd. When you test the door. The good ones test it from the j-arm. If you can't work the door by hand. Neither can the opener. Your resistance is different from the bottom panel You pushed it up, and pulled it down. The motor pulls it open, and pushes it down. Your balance is predicated upon this action of the J-Arm. Another good topic

Great video, will a low headroom track also work with a wall mount garage door opener?
@sosgds4 ай бұрын
Thank you for your question. You can apply a wall mount opener to a 6" and 3.5" track.

My garage torsion spring broke after 18+ years, so I ordered another spring using the SAME SIZE shown on the broken spring. Installed it on my 8ft door which requires 33 to 34 turns. I’m up to around 45 quarter turns and when I lift the door halfway it falls to the floor. I noticed that this new spring did not expand out as far as the previous spring. It’s about 3-eighth inch short of the indentation mark of the old spring. Should I do 33 quarter turns and tap spring to stretch it out to the old spot on the shaft?

Hello. Great question. Did you confirm what the diameter size was on the old spring? Do you know what number?

Could you please share what is the headroom required for this type of tracks? I'd assume it's 9" for the torsion system + another 3" on top for the opener?

Anywhere from 6 to 8 inches is normal.

@sosgds Жыл бұрын
Hello! Wow ... now just so that I am clear. Are you talking about a keypad that will wire into the motor? I am not aware of a keypad that will wire the newer motors.
@bquedenfeld Жыл бұрын
@@sosgds A wired one to replace the battery one on the outside Possibly low voltage

I think a low headroom single spring used a right wound instead of left wound that is standard for single spring torsional assembly.

The best option from beginning should of been some high lift, which would be more than fine . Get fancy and ride the roofline a little... jackshaft or somer would suffice for motor

Excellent suggestion. The option was offered to the customer.
