To all these who have problems when rigging the mesh which is offered by PolygonR.: I had massive problems with unwanted deformations after parenting the mesh to the rig. The solution: check the face normals of the mesh and recalculate them outside. After that rig and mesh work like a charm!

I've searched so many tutorials. Yours are by far the best on 3D modelling! The instructions are easy to understand and the results are as good as those overly complicated ones! That's why I signed up for your class a long time ago. Keep up the good work!

This filled in so many gaps of the character rigging and low poly modeling process for me. Can't wait to dive into your courses on Polygon Runway. Also in Blender 3.0 I think the character model normals are all inverted by default.

Thank you so much for this tutorial, you've been able to perfectly design a versatile great-looking low poly character past the modeling. Everyone just makes blank and round inflexible characters, but you're one of the only two creators to provide true customization. All I have to do now is figure out how to fully animate these characters...

Love your tutorials, your videos, but following along exactly should yield the same results. The mesh just keeps deforming, making the whole rig completely unusable. Not sure if it's some setting that's off, but giving up after two hours of tinkering. Shame, because the base mesh is really helpful, but I need to find another way of creating some poses.

Hey, thank you for such a great tutorial! I wonder if you have a complete and narrated tutorial on creating a render like you did in an outro section of this video. Cause you demonstrated your workflow, but didn't explain it, and as I'm a newbie, I would need that explanation to understand what you do and to replicate it in my learning project. Perhaps you could give me some hints on that or maybe a link to your corresponding tutorial if you have it? Thank you!

First of all, this is the first time I have watched a video and understood (or thought I understood)creating clothes and rigging a model. However I am totally stuck. I was able to symmetrize and create the rig( but no rig was visible after) , hide the meta rig but when I selected the body and rig and hit control + P there were only 3 options and automated weights not one of them. So I accidentally clicked envelope weights and now I have no rig and no controls so cannot pose my character . Any siggestions out there. I have searched for this but no similar issue can be found. I deleted the rig and went back to the meta rig and when I try to recreate the rig it tells me I have no arms because Upper Arm-L input to rig type must be a chain of at least 3 bones.

When I change to front view the foot is raised but the knee is very far out of the character to the side, where in the video the same movement and the knee stayed in its axis just lifted.
