To all these who have problems when rigging the mesh which is offered by PolygonR.: I had massive problems with unwanted deformations after parenting the mesh to the rig. The solution: check the face normals of the mesh and recalculate them outside. After that rig and mesh work like a charm!

Love your tutorials, your videos, but following along exactly should yield the same results. The mesh just keeps deforming, making the whole rig completely unusable. Not sure if it's some setting that's off, but giving up after two hours of tinkering. Shame, because the base mesh is really helpful, but I need to find another way of creating some poses.

@MsRaskauskas Жыл бұрын
First of all, this is the first time I have watched a video and understood (or thought I understood)creating clothes and rigging a model. However I am totally stuck. I was able to symmetrize and create the rig( but no rig was visible after) , hide the meta rig but when I selected the body and rig and hit control + P there were only 3 options and automated weights not one of them. So I accidentally clicked envelope weights and now I have no rig and no controls so cannot pose my character . Any siggestions out there. I have searched for this but no similar issue can be found. I deleted the rig and went back to the meta rig and when I try to recreate the rig it tells me I have no arms because Upper Arm-L input to rig type must be a chain of at least 3 bones.
@polygonrunway Жыл бұрын
Sounds like a series of unfortunate mishaps so I would suggest a rest, clean up the mesh (remove all modifiers and vertex groups), create a new metarig and start over

When I change to front view the foot is raised but the knee is very far out of the character to the side, where in the video the same movement and the knee stayed in its axis just lifted.
