You could be pumping a larger volume of water from your pump with a change to your siphon design. See this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJTGcpSVpteDd5o - Note that his siphon goes down then back up before entering the standpipe, while yours just goes down to the tee. This is why your pump is only moving the small pulse of liquid - the liquid is only moving between the bottom and the top of your "effective" siphon, which is only equal to the diameter of your tee (that is the amount of water movement needed to open and close your siphon to the air.) If you change your siphon design so that from the open end it goes down and then back up to the tee, then your effective siphon height will be the height of the rise back up to the tee.

Can this lift solids out of fish tank? I have 26 inches of water height.

Yes it can. These pumps are used to pump sewage sludge and grit. See part 3 for the better pump. The 2011 version uses a large 1 1/2" PVC main pipe. It's much more simple to build.
