Love this series (at least I hope it's a series). Most CC's focus on the builds at tier-8 or legendary, but the builds at tiers 4-6 can be just as illuminating, especially for players that are starting a new line.

nice real world game play, i like the no cherry picking not all games are zingers. i like how you talked through what you were doing take note all you new players. Japanese cruisers played well can be a real pain. Look forward to your next instructional video.

Was in a match today with a Furutaka who thought he was a DD and decided to pass me as the Spotter, and like you said don't attract attention he did and died right off; wish he had watched this. Had a real close game, but another cruiser was Afk. but we are having fun I suppose lol. Maybe some day since WG don't do it they would give links to you CCs and peeps could learn, what a concept.

Just finished grinding this ship. Hated it because I get rinsed in it. Now I know why. I was trying to dodge because I didn't know I could ricochet, and overpenning cruisers because 8 in guns.

Do the Konigsberg please. I only have 500 battles in this game but I play the Konigsberg a lot. I think I have it setup for AP because when a cruiser shows it's side to me it's back to port for them. The only problem with the ship is when a battleship even looks at me. Then I'm back at the port haha.

God, Furutake was such a disappointment to me back in open beta. Reload was at least 17 sec. (or maybe even 20, I don't remember). Coming from the Kuma with its fast firing 140mm guns, the Furu was a gigantic kick in the balls. I didn't even bother to learn the playstyle, free XP'd my way to the Aoba and never looked back. Now the Furu seems to be better than the Aoba, tier for tier.

@@Xarkun it gives you 3 twin turrets instead with the two front turrets superfiring. You become a bow tanking monster.

Never liked this ship. One continual irritation was the B-hull variant should be the same as Aoba (more or less) as it is on PC. Legends didn't go that direction, but it's still annoying and limits what should otherwise have been the premier T4 cruiser. The six semi-turrets are the poison pill. The guns themselves are effective, but the traverse is poor and the firing angles simply suck. There's no fixing this and you're fighting your own ship as much as the red team. I much prefer Genova, since it has a much better arrangement of armament with the concomitant better firing angles.

The turret setup is obsolete and not ideal, but I think the ship is still fine. The firing angles might not be ideal, but the speed and rudder are both great, so you can maneuver pretty effectively as I think I was able to demonstrate and also keep all the guns firing while protecting yourself.
