Nice video. I've got the same seat and fixed it on my rigid shovelhead, but instead 2 springs I put it on one old leavespring, cut in the right lenght, from my pickup. Works great and very 'confortable' ;-). Greetz from France

Nice job as always! Have you heard of anyone using springs under a king and queen style seat? Would it work?

A basic job well covered with excellent comments on parts, thx. Q: What brand & model lift table are you using?

@@Changtent Thanks Jim! That is from www.directlift.com/, we have several that we have used for many years without any issues.

What about putting the seat on a 1987 Heritage.. Do you have to weld any extra stuff on the bike.. or do any fabrication work .. It seams the bottom plate is sitting on the battery…

Tyler, what amperage do you recommend for the Tig?
@dakotamueller44785 жыл бұрын
Awesome videos guys! Quick question, I noticed the pulsing when laying down the final welds. Is that necessary to keep heat input down, or just personal preference to give you some extra time to position the torch better?
@lowbrowcustoms5 жыл бұрын
Just regular TIG welding... pulsing the foot pedal between individual points while welding a bead.

Would this same kit work with the stock rear-end?

Skip the springs; replace them with a Kong dog toy. It will still be sprung, but not as harsh and no pinch point(s).

Nice but don't forget to use shades so you don't blind your audience. I wore dark glasses right away.
