@@lowcarbrevelation So, now I know the story of how you and Ed met. It was beautiful! Thank you for sharing that. My husband and I have been married just over 35 years. Our anniversary was in September. But before the Lord brought us together, we were both married to other people, and right around the same time, they each left us, mine (who was a pastor) for another woman. I had three babies (4, 2, and 8 1/2 months old), and he had three daughters (almost 14, 12, and 7). We became “the Brady Bunch” except, instead of 3 and 3, we had 5 girls and 1 boy. It has been challenging over the years, but by the grace of God, we have built a life we love.💖

My grandparents lived 6 hours away when I was growing up ( before FaceTime). We had such a special bond. I know now that we just valued the time we spent together so much more and there was such excitement when I got to go visit. It will be different for you and your grandchildren, but different doesn’t mean bad. They will be so excited to come visit you and when you go visit them. ❤

i have been blessed with having my first grandchild live with me from the day she was born. i remember our 1st camping trip in a tent, i think when she was 6 or 7 yrs. just her and i, its now a yearly event. we both love it, she’s now 16! mow my son lives in NC, with my 2 beautiful grand babies, turning 3 and 5 this november. when the oldest of the 2 were born, i decided that i have 2 see them. so every may (it’s already getting hot in 80 to 90 degrees) and every november for their birthdays, 2 weeks stay each time. it turns out to be a 12 to 16 hr day, depending on layover time. i cherish my time with them, we go to the science fair a lot their members there, and we go to the children’s museum, and we go to the park, and we go hiking, wiggles swimming. We are going the whole time. I’m there and I just get the pack so much fun with them. I wish I could go more often, but it just costs so much and we’re kind of pre-retired.. so I know what you mean when you say it’s hard not to see them

Hi Paula. Your Cobb salad looks great! I went out to lunch and almost ordered one after seeing yours this morning. Thanks for the update. I’m happy that you are getting so much joy out of coaching. It’s funny, yesterday I was thinking about what color to get my new furniture and denim came to mind! My stone fireplace has very subtle shades of blue and my Oriental rug has blue in it too. It’s either that or gray. I’ve had brown far too long. Can’t wait to see your new furniture!😊

Thank you for the update! We moved about 2 hours away from family for 3 years due to a job change. It really was not bad because the times we got together (2x per month) were so much more intentional. I’m now back near my grandkids and love being able to have a weekly dinner or go over to their house to play for a couple hours. 😊

Glad Ed is getting to hunt. I saw 3 white cotton tails that were running up a field as I came home yesterday. Your salad looks great. Yes FaceTime is great even if grandchildren live close. One of my little 2 yr old great granddaughters runs me ragged when she is here, but I love her so much! She opens every cabinet door I have. We had safety latches but took them off too soon. They love the chickens!!

I remember the first time you all went back to your other house after Ed’s accident and you were talking about his problems with mobility in that house as opposed to the lake house and Ed said it was like being in a doll house! I laughed so hard! That was so funny! Glad he is healing and feeling better.

Paula totally understand the grandkids fortunately mine are 25-30 mins away. Hi Paula, I was watching the channel Hanging with the Browns, and her husband ended up in the hospital with kidney failure caused from sitting in hot water for to long. Just wanted to let you know because I have never heard of this. Maybe you could research this before you get your hot tub and figure out what the time limits are. ❤

Where are you finding all these courses? I’m not looking to be a coach, but like you, I am really interested in the keto/carnivore and always searching for ways to get information especially online.

There are some free online courses if you Google keto online courses, but the ones that I am going through are pretty pricey and more for people wanting to get certified. I did a while back go through some free ones, but they weren’t as informative

Awe, I know that can’t be easy for you ❤️ I have had people comment that “they can’t believe I’m moving away from my grandkids and they could NEVER do that!” That’s just not very helpful to me. It’s hard as it is. There are just things that can’t be avoided.

How do you know that you are staying within 20 total carbs? You don't seem to measure? Currently I measure everything (and I'm only 4 weeks into this process) because I'm too scared to go over.

That was my concern too. I also am so over measuring everything and basically eat carnivore. Some whipping cream and stevia in my coffee. I cut way back on the cheese too.

So I have a question about your health...(cholesterol). Did you see it go up when you first stared? I've been reading that about 33% of the people that start Keto will have a hirer LDL score. I sure did. Just curious about your story.
