yes it can be. there are a number of options for the lower eyes fat pad.

Please could you elaborate on the mid face lift aspect. Are you elevating the SOOF or the whole malar fat pad? And if the latter are the tissues undermined at the subperiosteal plane or more superficially? Thanks!

both the SOOF and the molar pads. elevating at the subperiosteal level doesnt allow any movement so above that level but deep to the smas plane.

Above the periosteum in my practice. And the malar fat pat. The Soof is not the problem in mid facial ageing.

Would having fillers be an issue for this surgery? I had an MRI done and says i have small volume in the medial soof, small volume in the deep medial, small volume infraorbital, moderate volume in superficial medial and middle cheek fat, small volume in nasolabial and lateral cheek fat?

might be worth trying to dissolve anything that's left as if not and it subsequently fades then the lift can drop and deflate slightly. depends how much is filler and how much is scar tissue. watch my video on filler problems and you will understand what I mean. Thanks for the comment.

Sometimes but not that often. Lifting the midface is usually enough.

I don't understand what you mean by sponge bolstering.. Can you elaborate? Is it the fat pads under your eyes and cheeks that are bolstered, What is it that is placed there to bolster them and how is it removed in a week? If the lower lid doesn't return, is their revision surgery that the surgeon does?

Hello Doctor. I had a permanent suture malar elevation lift with loop technique. The loop thread is non dissolvable and was intended to lift the malar fat pad but it hasn't achieved the lift I was hoping for. The results are minimal. Would I still be a candidate for this type of malar lift you explain? I am 33 years old. I had a lower blepharoplasty done at 30 bc of my eye bags. I didn't need the malar lift at the time but I am noticing the NL folds now due to descending fat pad. I tried to loop technique but it's not enough. Can I still qualify for this mid face cheek lift you offer?

yes it would still work but less overall benefit if your lower lids are ok.

is it possible to do a mid face lift 6 years after a lower bleph ? this is exactly the problem i have (flat midface) i also had a skin pinch so i already have incisions under my eyes

yes. less benefit as your Lowe lids will be ok now but it can still be done.

Does this help jowls if I lift my cheeks my jowls are reduced. Maybe lipo the jowl fat st the same time. I really want this procedure and need to contact your office.

no sadly. it doesn't reach as far down the face as that. If you are jowly you almost certainly need a facelift.

Hard to say as I dont know much about your surgery. Swelling is pretty normal for 3-4 weeks in my experience however.

How about upper lower eyelid surgery with a composite facelift as opposed to mid-facelift, They seem to be similar but I think the composite may address The lower half of the face too? Thank you

no sadly you can't get enough traction either sub or super periosteal from mid face approach. And the neck is almost always a problem that needs addressing which can't be done through that approach.

nope, its a subciliary incision which is extremely well hidden.

It works exactly the same. It genuinely is a great operation with the mid face lift element added. recovery can be a little slower than expected is the only caveat. Thanks for your question.
