I am 82 year old scientists with hight blood pressure. I have the white coat syndrom; systolic goes up 50 points when I see a doctor. When I watched the breathing technique to lower blood pressure, the scientist in me found it be very hard to believe that just a breathing technique could lower blood pressure. "O" HOW WRONG I WAS! Once I completed the first five minutes of the breathing technique, my systolic pressure dropped 30 points! I was SHOCKED!! I am now into my second week of three to four breathing sessions a day and my blood pressure has returned to normal ranges! INCREDIBLE AND UNBELIEVABLE!

I've been a martial artist since I was 9, I'm 54 now and by far the best exercise we do is relax breathing. 5 to 6 seconds in 8 to 12 seconds out. In threw the nose out threw the mouth. This not only relaxes cardio actions, it also is designed to relax the entire body. Excellent video, so many people are extremely tense and have never learned the simple skill of breathing to allow the body to relax especially in stressful situations, It takes nothing to stop for 3 to 4 minutes and just breath, you can even do these exercises while working.

Excellent, simply excellent..only a man like Ekberg knew how to control or reverse our diseases or medical problems by tackling the root causes..I wish all doctors get a training like that..they shouldn't have clinics to give symptomatic treatment. They must have mini medical schools where they may give real education about human body ..Ah, bit too long comment but the truth is we live but we never try to know exactly how our body works and how should we help our body to work better or excellent. Thanks in billions, Dr.

Glad I found you :-) Just subscribed. My blood pressure was so high they wanted to hospitalise me but I refused. After trying the drugs and not liking them I tried to sort it out myself. I did great and got it almost down to 'normal'. But over time I gradually dropped the measures I'd taken and when I checked it last year due to concerns about Covid I was horrified! So back to the measures and this time hopefully for good. The most difficult for me is getting enough sleep at the same time each night - working hard on that now. But of all the things I did which involved a smoothie I created, more exercise, and a few other things the things the seemed to have the most effect were my 15 minutes of slow deep breathing and then once it was a little lower - isolated grip exercises. What I did was get a zen breathing app for my phone and I sent it to 4 breaths per minute for 15 minutes - in for 6 seconds and out for 9 seconds. I did this every morning and night and then just every morning and the results were amazing. I just didn't consider neuroplasticity! I'll be taking slightly deeper and slower breaths for as often as I can manage it now! Off to check out your other video - and then the rest :-)

So basically to cut to the chase of what the title to the video says, do this: Breath in a long (soundless ) breath that lasts about 5 seconds and then breath out an equal long breath that also lasts for 5 seconds (or more). Keep doing this for one to 5 minutes without forcing! (it doesn't say how long or how). It has been proven that breathing meditation calms the body and mind and increases energy.

I need regular intravitreal injections and whilst I'm comfortable with them I still get a little stressed in the waiting room. READ THIS 💗 Inhale for 4 seconds & exhale over 7-8 seconds. Begin with a ten-minute session daily. After 7 days, increase to two sessions per day, each lasting ten minutes. Throughout the day, whenever you remember, take five to eight deep breaths; this should not take more than two minutes. The key is to make this a habit. Remember, it's completely free, requires minimal time, and has the potential to transform your life. Wishing everyone a Happy & Healthy Life.

Ok listeners, read this instead. I walk into the Dr's office. The nurse takes my BP. It's 160/74. Wait 5 it's 150/68. She continues to talk, why are you here? In another 5 minutes she retakes my BP it's 142/66. Still not happy, she gabs at me more. She relaxes me and retakes my BP. It's 130/68. Oh your ok now. What does this signify? I mean really. To me it means as soon as I stand up, my BP will be high. As soon as I hit my car, it will be higher. Once the first vehicle joins me on the road my BP will go higher. Maybe my BP has already shot past the first BP of 160/74 where the nurse was so concerned. To cut to the chase, who cares what my BP is when I'm at, do nothing stage. I'm a busy a person. When I take my BP at home, within 5 readings and with a few minutes, less than 5, I have 5 different readings. They very by as much as 15 points on the systolic. I think you all need to come up with something better as in more better. Currently, it is ridiculous.

I got a pretty active lifestyle before the pandemic and a very sedentary one while it lasted. I've also been stressed out and depressed to the limit all this time (now even worst cause of this). I started cutting out most of the carbs, which were always on my plate. I hope this is just a temporary and emotional thing so I can change my lifestyle and never get metabolic syndrome

That's not even high. My doctor said so long as it doesn't go over 150/90. Different countries have different readings for normal or high blood pressure. Here in UK 140/ 80 is normal. 140/ 90 is normal if you're stressed out or have been active. Is your blood pressure consistently higher than 140/90? Over the years in the UK normal blood pressure has changed from 150/90 to 140/80. So I wouldn't worry but it's probably still a good idea to bring it down. I'd settle for 140-130/70-80. 120/- 60-80. These folks who set what's normal blood pressure has needlessly worried a lot of people.

Just try to relax and live a stress free life, it’s ok to feel sad but don’t let it overcome you into depression. I’ve had high BP my whole life and I believe it’s because I’ve always been a angry/stresses/depressed individual got labs done everything looks normal

Thank you so much! I always wake up with high blood pressure, I'm not sure why.I watch one of your videos last night so this morning before I took my blood pressure I did the breathing that you had mentioned in that video ,maybe for about 10 minutes.I took my pressure and it was great!! I have been practicing through out day today. I think sometimes I forget to breath ! Lol Thank you!

this worked like magic, I went from 1565/102 58bpm this morning to 125/86 61 bpm this afternoon after doing this, it should be noted I was a bit upset when I took my readings this morning though as some idiot spelt liquid close to my computer, luckily it didn't come into contact with my computer but it still annoyed me, I waited 5 minutes this morning before taking my readings though.

Good video, only one coment: that the trapezius pulls up the rips during inspiration is wrong... That should do the scaleni muscles...... To much work of the trapezius is due to poor posture......
