Seeing Doug almost cry hits different when you get the same tightness and pains in the shin area during runs

awesome video. Knees would be a high yield video for the community as well!

Doug is like if Chris Farley became an operator. hilarious, awesome, but every so often you see a tear in his eye, which makes you chuckle at first, but you see the deep tragedy of the laughing clown he is hiding behind... and then you think how painful it'll be for you when you do those things.

In summary, don’t date Doug’s ex’s.

Best video I’ve seen on shin splints. Excellent explanation too. I’ve been struggling with shin splints for 18 months now, hopefully these exercises will help. Thank you

This addressed exactly what has been happening when I’m running lately. Thanks SOFLETE & Theo.

Instead of a ball, use a stainless steel drink mixing cup. Put it in the freezer at night and stuff it with a gel ice pack, then do the exact same thing with the ball after your work out. Do that often. You will feel much better for longer. I got that from my foot doc.

What about pain on the outside of the foot? Around the bump midway on the foot?
@jonathanlemus77033 жыл бұрын
Yes! I’ve had that pain twice in two different occasions doing two different workouts. One was after running and the other after rucking.

Do you guys have any good tips for posterior tibial tendon training/therapy?

Thank you thank you Doug for this. I wrote a comment a couple months ago about shin pain which I have been plagued with for a year and a half now. This video has persuaded me to implement some physio exercises and actually go and see a physio. Thanks Theo also!

Hey guys, great job. Anything specific about tallonitis? 35 years of running and other activities have wreaked havoc on my lower joints and feet(and shoulders, elbows, you name it but I keep going). I already underwent five session of shock waves and it's somewhat getting better but I don't know whether it's the waves or the quarantine. I gave up running 9 years ago but the tallonitis exploded 6 months ago and I tell you it's miserable, I couldn't litteraly walk. The pain was located at the inside edge of the heel. And yes, I do have that spinae calcanearis but it's a small one and it's in the middle, the pain is on the edge. Now I can somewhat walk but I'm afraid of pushing myself further than 500yds.

Could you get Theo back for the shoulders. I feel like that is a big problem area along with the lower body.

ok im a little lost on the programming recommendation at the end... so if you want to run more than 2 times a week you can, but you dont run for 3rd or 4th session? What does that mean? Is this volume recommendation catered towards mostly road running? I run a lot on the beach which obviously has considerably less impact although it can be more strenuous on the muscles. thanks
