Yoly and I head north from our house to the Chattahoochee National Forest where we spend a couple days exploring the Upper and Lowers falls at Desoto Falls Recreation Area. This is Day 1 of our visit where we arrive, set up camp, take a quick look at our surroundings, make lunch and then I hike to the Lower Desoto Falls. Yoly stays back to nap in Serenity as she has a headache so I uncharacteristically go exploring on my own.

This is the response I got from an email to Neil whom I have corresponded with over the past 9 years, I will think of him fondly as I camp over the coming years as he was a part of that life! I wish Yoly is well and managing her loss of a good man! Re: How are you guys? Neil has passed away. This email inbox will not be monitored. Please don't leave emails in this inbox.

Yes, I'm loving the new Mavic Air 2 :-) The next video (Day 2) will see Beebop stretch his legs a bit as I put him to work filming the Upper Desoto Falls :-) I played around with him much more the next day.

Is it a nice video or a great video :-) You seem to have left two similar comments and it was confusing at first, but then I realized that I'm grateful for both :-) As you know, the Upper Falls are a bit more majestic and the trail a bit more beautiful, so you'll enjoy the next video, Day 2 :-)

@@TravelswithYoly The first comment didn't show, so I reposted. Too funny. My Dad and I went here for his 70th birthday and he had a great time as it was the first time to DeSoto. Keep up the great videos! Cheers

@@MetroOnTheMove I just celebrated my 72nd birthday :-) This was the third or fourth time we've gone up to the falls and we thought there was more water coming over on this visit than at any of the other visits so we really enjoyed it. Also, just got a new Mavic Air 2 so had fun playing with it also.

@@TravelswithYoly Happy Birthday! The Mavic Air 2 sounds like a great birthday gift to have! I can't wait till it starts snowing to revisit some of these places again. DeSoto Falls would be an excellent hike in the snow.

@@MetroOnTheMove Thank you so much for the birthday greeting :-) Don't care much for snow unless it's accompanied by sunshine and temps in the 50s. I grew up in what Time Magazine called the "coldest city in North America" back in 1963. Snow on the ground pretty much 6 months of the year. Played a lot of hockey and typically considered 40 degree weather as tee shirt weather. But I moved from there when I was 15 and lived in Southern California for the next 27 years so I've adjusted accordingly :-)
