What's your opinion on the medial hamstring reflex supposedly for identifying Nervrootenvolvement in the L5 segment? Is it usefull in clinical practise? Most studies usually focus on the patellar and achilles reflexes

Hey Filip, haven't heard of it yet so thanks for the input! When looking at this study: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/pmid/23087820/ it looks promising, but gotta take time to properly analyze the whole article. Looks like the patella reflex had a huge likelihood ratio as well, which doesn't really fit well with the common literature.

It's either I din feel any reflex during the examination or my doctor did not do her job to point out that I am abnormally not having reflexes.

Dear collegues, is it possible that you make videos with some kind of indepth views ? For example: what is the underlying mechanism (theory) of a clonus ? And I dont mean answers like: upper motor neuron leasion ;-) Another example is hyperventilation (what happens which makes the patients feel like this and that)... With an of Science at the end of your study i really hope for some more depth (compared to the rest of the youtube docs and PTs). i would really appreciate it.
