While I am not trans, I absolutely want to thank you for posting your videos. Not only are they helping other trans folks, but EVERYONE. The more people have an insight into the individual why the more people will gradually be accepting, understanding and realize there is nothing to fear and you shouldnt be treated differently. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Hi dade, my name is ashley .I've been watching your videos since you started. I' never thought ide have the guts to even admit to myself out loud that I'm like this. After so many years of watching u become who u always have been. I finally made my first step and told my closest frends that I'm making the first steps in transitioning. I'm terrified even at 11 pm. But thank you for your time on here. Ur family has been such a powerful impact on me .God bless.

It is good to hear you are all healed up and not in anymore pain. I think you are right in that your inability to quickly fight the infection was due to the amount of surgeries in so little time and you being plain exhausted. Glad all is well. You continue to amaze me!

So happy for you to finally be reaching this point, and SO HAPPY for your happiness! I cannot imagine the relief and rejoicing you are experiencing in your heart, all I know is that I am grateful to have been able to - even in the smallest way - get to this point with you. And Tiff and Zane! It seems like it's been so long. Best wishes, to you and any- and everyone else making their way to this point. There ARE people out there that, despite not knowing the personal struggle, still desire your happiness. Congratulations, times infinity - incredible, inspiring, and so very awesome!! FINALLY :D

Been watching many of your videos today... and wow! you are inspirational! Stay strong, stay focused on where you're at and where you are trying to go from here onward. The emotional roller coaster of going through so much in a short period of time will be balanced out by the many chances you will have to shape, mold and create who you want to be from now on, being now who you really have always been inside. Life is a miracle, and at every breath it is a reminder that you are alive and in control. The past has been a journey which you will honor and cherish, as a trampoline from which you dove into this path of discovery of who you are. You said you're dealing with stuff in your own time and that's the way it has to be. Society, people, and sometimes even your own self will bring up expectations of any sort, but you have only two choices in life: a) you open up to it, and to the possibility that there might be struggle; b) you shy away from it and slowly die inside. You chose the brave path, struggles will soon make sense, give yourself time to take it all in. But you have a great gift inside you: you are equipped with the bravery to overcome it all. Stay strong, stay focused. Much love xx

I haven't yet had a consult for lower surgery, but I really hope I'll be able to find a surgeon in/around the Netherlands who has similar results :)

Dade, I can reaffirm everything you say about getting the right surgeon. You usually know right away when you're dealing with a doctor who knows what the hell he or she's doing and the amount of peace-of-mind that a competent surgeon gives you is PRICELESS. It sounds like this Dr. Crane is a really good surgeon and he didn't flunk the Patient Relations 101 course in med school either. I've had more than my fair share of surgeons with whom I just couldn't communicate. They tend to regard all your questions as threatening and if you know anything about what they're about to do and have questions, those questions are viewed as doubting his/her ability.and threatening to the surgeon. You know you're in deep doo-doo then I'm thrilled about your satisfaction with the end product. You exude that satisfaction throughout this video. I hope all FTM's who watch this video and are aware of your story will look favorably on Dr. Crane as a possible surgeon of choice. He deserves the business. BTW:: I love that playhouse you have for little (or not so little any more) Zane. A two-year b'day vid would be really, really nice if you have the time. You know I think she's the cutest little girl on the planet. May peace be with you, Dade!! I just say congratulations to you (and Tiffany) for your success and satisfaction. Gotta be a load off your mind. Life for you two will be on a new higher level.from here going forward. Sorry for all my babbling!!

I'm still waiting to have my first surgery (chest), but I wanted to say I admire you for everything you've done given your work and your family being such big things to take care of at the same time! Even recovering from a no-complication birth, I kept wondering how people go back to work so soon after doing it. I couldn't really sit down comfortably or pee comfortably for a full 6 weeks afterward, and I had a very low-key "rest a lot because the newborn is sleepy all the time anyway" life at the time. Now, I can't get a double incision mastectomy until 6 months after Caleb weans (so the milk ducts won't have milk leftover in them, which could be a problem during surgery), and as annoying as it is to know it's so far down the road, I'm almost thankful that there's a real medical restriction making me wait because if I did it now... He's a grabby, climby, active toddler and I'd have to worry about him pulling at me or otherwise messing with the recovery. As much as it's frustrating to wait, I've been sticking it out best I can waiting for Caleb to grow so we can move off this nursing stage of his life. You're tough! I can't imagine keeping up with the pace of family OR work through everything you've done.

Sion Jesse Sion, I really respect the sacrifices you are making for your son. I know how hard it is to wait. Be strong, my friend. When you do get top surgery it'll be awesome. Recovery is hard, but we all have a way of surviving through things that we wouldn't have thought we could.

I just have to say, you look absolutely amazing!!!! Drop dead gorgeous! And you've really come into your voice, it resonates very sexy and I know it took you a while to get there, but I hope you feel the waiting was worth it because out of ALL the trans guys ive met and seen online, your voice has the most velvety timber in it. I'm so happy for you to finally feel like your "outer" self syncs up with your "inner" self! I wish ever trans person had these options available to them. How many lives could we save, how many manic depressed could be helped! Hopefully sooner than later insurance companies will pull their heads out of their asses and realize this is just as important to cover as a liver or heart transplant. In a lot of cases, we are talking life or death here with cases of severe dysphoria. :-D

fckyrface he said insurance did not cover his costs so he had to pay his bills out of pocket, which in my opinion is shitty. Dysphoria and doing what is neccesary to feel complete in whatever gender a person identifies with should absolutely be covered by insurance.

I know that it took some time for woman who had mastectomies to get insurance coverage for breast reconstruction, but it has happened....Hopefully, that'll happen for transgendered people too.I think that once society gets better educated on the subject,a lot of positive changes will happen.

Would you mind disclosing the price? I know it is rude to ask, but I live by PA and am heavily considering Dr. Crane. It is difficult finding detailed info on Meta, let alone surgeons who are recommended so highly. Dr. Crane sounds like a gift. Again, it would be somewhat of a hike for me to get to and from Texas (where he is now located). He does not have estimates online, and I know you made this five years ago, but it might help gage what I may be looking at. Thank you for sharing your journey.

Hey Dade not a question about lower surgery but how did you manage to deal with your transphobic coworkers? My coworkers tell me I'm to pretty for them to see me as male which is ridiculous because I've been on t for almost a month and don't have any female qualities besides long lashes. All but 2 of them refuse to use the right pronouns and even after I brought in my legal name change paper my manager said she can't accept it because she's needs an actual ID. She said it all while smiling at me condescending like I was a child and she knew more then me. -.- Anyways sorry for the rant but I'm tired of being treated like less then a human being. Tips please?

I'm really sorry you are going through this, my friend. I faced a similar situation. The way I handled it was to show no vulnerability to those people. I wouldn't engage in their bigotry at all. When they would mis-gender me, I would correct them and move on - showing no emotion or irritation. As the changes became more apparent, people slowly started to change. Some people still, even now, chose to be dicks... but that's on them. Those of us brave enough to stay at our jobs while transitioning will face this kind of thing indefinitely, but being visible is so valuable to our community. Good for you, and stay strong.

Thanks man it's just hard I pass everywhere but at work thanks to my uniform being feminine and of course my job being mainly dominated by females (I'm a waiter) it just makes things difficult. And no I did not mean being treated like a women was like being treated like less then a human. Because they don't treat me like a women they treat me like I'm something they stepped on and can't get off the bottom of their shoe. I'm treated like dirt.
