Lowering the FG | Fitting reset leaf springs & BC Racing coilovers

Finally lowered the ute !
So a few vlogs ago I picked up these reset leaf springs from Facebook Marketplace, since then I ordered some BC Racing Coilovers which took 4 weeks to arrive due to being on backorder. But I finally got them and put it all in, and I am beyond stoked with how it sits and looks.

Fark that’s asking a lot of my memory haha. They were 19x9.5s on the front/19x11s on the rear. +22 offset all around. I THINK they were 275/30s on the rear , and 245/30 for the front rings a bell. But don’t quote me on any of that haha

The rim sizes and offsets I’m certain on, but not 100% on the tyre sizes sorry man

Did have a 5mm spacer on the front to make it look a bit tougher but it wasn’t needed to fit

I realised this was 3 years ago But I am just working on my anniversary ute, I don't really know whether to go with 17 or 18 in rims I seem to like the 17 being a little small I think they just look stockyer. If you see this message what are your thoughts and what are the size of your rims.? WA

All comes down to personal preference mate. 17s with a meaty tyre setup can look tough as. These wheels were 19s

Do you need camber correction down there? Mines around the same height ( maybe a couple mm higher ) in the front but with a Pedders setup, I tried to go without a camber kit but it chewed the insides out like a crackheads lips.

I dare say mine will do the same man, looking at it by eye it’s got a fair bit of negative camber. So I’ll most likely have to look into a camber kit

The back end is almost there, a little tuck is nice but It looks really neat in the front 👍🏼 that height is a bit dangerous with the mk1 front bar though.

Hahaha couldn’t believe it man. You wouldn’t read about it. Coilovers were $1500, and I scored the leaf springs second hand for $250

Yep mate just buy the coil overs to fit your car, and I scored the leafs on Facebook marketplace
