69 ball joint front end on my 64. 73 up discs installed with spacer. Love the spacer as it gave the bus more stability. I do want my beam adjustable but not sure yet when I will attempt to tackle that or how hard it is really to install the adjusters. Welder I already have. As always keep it coming. Only issue I cant figure out is the 7/8 swar install seemed to make the ride stiffer, which I wouldnt think it would but it does.

Hey Mike As a request can you possibly make a video in detail on how to lower the front trailing arms on the Bus. I'm watching this video and it sounds easy however I don't really want to screw up my Bus in case I do something wrong .I want to lower my Bus a bit in the front without major modification.

Do the low profile tires like the ones you have on that orange bus help with side sway/wind stability vs a 205 75 15

you need tall tires for gear ratios with reduction boxes. or even with straight axles unless you spend some serious money on your trans.

@@Mikefngarage thats my debate. go with short tires and geard trans or tall tires and near stock 4:12 bug trans with .82 4th. Keeping the redux boxes just cause I love to torture myself lol

Hey mike whats your recomendation i plan to lower my bus to max ground in refeence to this video and what you explain but i am planning to use 215/75 R15 tires. What your take in how the hwy speed affect with tires size on stock transmission and gearbox reduction gears 4.37? And second Will building transmission with a R&P 3.44 have a negative affect with a 215/75r15? In hwy speeds?

so I am assuming you are running GRB and going as low as you can with using the boxes not a straight axle. the 3.44 gears with bug .89 will work well with that tire size for road speed and rpm. But I am not sure about 15 inch that tire size getting them on and off the car without jacking down the axles. IF you are going straight axle to get it super low the 3.44 will be way too much gear for engine rpm 4.12 IMO seems to be the best for that for those tire sizes. lower profile tires will need 3.88. just remember straight axle you will need extra brakes and you will definitely need to jack down the axles to get the tires on and off for sure.

@@Mikefngarage hey mike thank for response! My bus is original 1967 split window with large nut GRB running stock transmission! I believe its 4.37 r&p stock with 82 fourth gear! I won't have to do any modifications to R&P if sticking with 15rims on 215/75 size tire correct?

@@New777World yea it should be pretty good. but only if it is the original 4.12. that is what came in big nuts on the freeway max speed will be about 65 passing speed should be 70. with that setup. I usually use 205 75 14 with those numbers and that is ok you should have 2 inches higher. so maybe 70 and 75 if they fit in the fender well.

no bugs are much easier just a adjustment in the rear then ad a adjuster in the front or you can lower with removing small torsiions on later models. for minor lowering.
