a 10 inch extension takes a ton of power away, there's a reason lug nut sockets are the size they are and arent 12 inches long...

the peoblem is the extension try with good brand this is a beast!

I did use a smaller extension on the other site I tested many and it did not work. I went with the longer one on this side as it fits in the deep area better as the tool is quite large
@haroldjones123 жыл бұрын
Any 1/2 impact is gonna struggle removing a rusted lug nut with an 8-10" extension, Gotta use a deep socket and no extension if you want all the power 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️

I did both just not in the video as i had the same problem on the other side as well.

I don't think any 1/2 impact will take these rusted bolts off...also don't use Chrome extensions on a impact. The extension absorbs the impacts
@lordraptor112 жыл бұрын
Tool isn't the problem, the xtr works great on semi truck lug nuts which are torque to high ft lbs than that old ambulance
@goactivemedia2 жыл бұрын
Even the Napa service place down the road had a hard time with the bolts to take off to replace to Rotor. I still have the tool and have used it on my van and it worked on it. I had the same problem on both sides of the ambulance back tires it would not take them off i tryied both short and long end socken ends i have the full kit and it would not budge. Then taking the rotor off it would not get the bolts out so had to take it to the Napa service center and even they had a hard time their Milwaukee tool could not get all of them off. Its been over a year now and the ambulance has been running good we use it for work a few times a week. Still have a lot more work planned for it i hurt my back and could not do much work on it for some time.

Well Milwaukee wasn't getting those lugs of either with that extension. Deep well should have fit in there. Rust remover would have also helped.
@jd53933 жыл бұрын
I've never seen anyone actually use a 10" extension for wheels. I'm not a rocket scientist but, the extension will allow you to come off center, thus not applying torque efficiently. That has more than enough power to bust lug nuts on a tracker trailer. If the gun can't fit in the well, try to find a smaller one. That or those things are over-torqued and rusted pretty bad. Shouldn't have been an issue at all

If you have the time, can you see if your LEDS stay on? On my new wrench, the lights are initially off but after any trigger pull, stay on until the battery is removed and re-installed. That'll drain the battery for sure. Thanks, LG

Use a impact rated deep socket and you might need a bigger battery
@goactivemedia3 жыл бұрын
I did use a Impact socket in fact I did both sides of the truck and uses a few different sizes testing and none of them worked. I also tried to take some bolts off with it off the truck and that did nto work. That is why I had to run down the road to have them taken off at a Napa service center. . As for the battery that is the only battery it had with it with i got it new. I still have it and it did work on my other car just not my larger truck. At some point later this year I will be replacing all the front breaks so will give it a try on the front tires next.

The Milwaukee will produce more torque with a 6 ah or 8 ah battery. The kobalt will do the same with the 8 ah ultimate output battery

@@goactivemedia I've used this same impact on strut mount bolts, axle bolts, crank bolts, harmonic balancer bolts. No problem at all and all those are torqued tighter then them lug nuts
@thetruthhertz29703 жыл бұрын
That extension probably eats 30-50% of the total torque created. A 2 ft drive shaft delivers more torque than a 4 ft. And delivers it faster too. Js

Take off the Extension.. Use a Deep Socket... The Extension. weakens the power..

Duh, you're using long extensions and while you are trying to get the bolt out of the rotor, you are letting the rotor spin around

Lose the extension, you'll have better success.......it's almost like trying to use an impact driver with a hex bit extension🤣
