People are probably tired of the mark up’s. Then nock a few dollars off so it looks like a good deal. We been feed 💩sandwiches for 3-4 years now. We’re all tired of it , plain old price gouging.

We took the red pill and our eyes are open to see their "deals" aren't really that great and better to wait for it to go on clearance after Christmas. I was at Home Depot earlier today and the shelves are full when you'd normally see them almost empty, same for Lowe's. Both the Orange and the Blue store focus more on making us think it's a good value than actually giving us any value.

For me, Harbor Freight took all my Lowe’s and Home Depot money before Lowe’s and Home Depot thought about deals. So their sale-not really on sale- sales didn’t get me to buy. I went into Lowe’s to buy those little adjustable wrench/pliers, but when I handled them, they were super poor quality. Pittsburg tools were better…

The 12v Skil 10-tool-set retails for $500, was a Black Friday sale for $250, and then went on 1-day special for $150 online SOLD OUT WITHIN HOURS. It's not that tools aren't in demand, it's that people won't buy them when they can't afford them (unless they are justified as a professional necessity and can be expensed from company accounts). Once products are appropriately priced, they sell; that is how this system is supposed to work, and anything beyond that is just extortion.

Lowes only was competitive in our area when Home Depot was here. Home Depot moved out and LOWES PRICES WENT THROUGH THE ROOF. I was a longtime customer of Lowe’s with contractor credit cards, not anymore. It pretty tells you what you need to know about Lowes when you can go to your local building supply and purchase higher quality items at lower prices. They have gotten very greedy. I’m done with Lowe’s and their credit cards are gone as well. Lowes no longer works for me.

They run the specials all year then act like it’s a big savings at Christmas . Also, the craftsmen tools are offshore are junk. Lowe's is a joke & so deceiving store... I been hearing people say the same thing I been saying that lumber prices are either not marked or they will have lumber with misleading prices trying to deceive customers with low price you see but then its marked up higher at register, I catch them with their scams they been pulling on customers, nother thing is they have horrible return policy on items as paint sprayers only two day return on them home depot gives 30 day return on them, liwes is so hard up also that they want to charge you for bags & home Depot doesn't, all the Lowe's I been in are practically near empty of customers there are more employees that stand around doing nothing, I much had it with them I now just shop at home Depot, Lowe's I'm suprised hasn't gone out of business yet they are are doing horrible.

Interesting, your Lowes is set up differently from mine. My store is pushing DeWalt way harder, putting most of their stuff right at the entrance where yours has Klein, and the Klein stuff is crammed into a little corner next to the pro checkout along with a few larger DW items. (Miter saws and shop vacs etc.) I was disappointed not to see much in the way of good Klein deals in general as well, I really like the brand lately. I am thinking about maybe grabbing the 2-drawer rolling Klein box though, I don't have a portable storage option for my power tools and I'm moving just after new year's so I kinda need something.

And here I am going to Harbor Freight and contemplating getting the Bauer High Torque 1050 foot pound 20V impact wrench too currently on sale for $89.00 with coupon. Or maybe the Bauer 2000 inch pound 20V brushless impact driver tool only for $39.99. I'm sorry, but as someone who's paycheck doesn't rely on his tools (only his wife's to-do list🤣🤣) I can't see spending that kind of money on these power tools. I get it, if you are going to use them everyday, I understand, but man, for me, it's a no brainer. My Bauer equipment has never not done what I asked of it, and I do a fair amount of work around a 50 year old house and on a 25 year old 3/4 ton diesel truck.

Yes, you forgot about hyper tough and if you didn't forget about hyper tough I just didn't hear you say it and I must have missed it. But that's the other brand of those mobile storage boxes. I would prefer to get the hyper tough boxes over any other boxes, but I'm cheap so I'm actually planning on getting the husky build out boxes. They seem to be the best bang for the buck home. Depots not running any deals on those right now so you could pretty much buy the Ridgid 2.0 for the price of the husky build out so I'm having a hard time paying retail on the build out while everything else is on sale

One minute they got stuff the next minute it seems like more than half the stuff is nowhere to be found

@johndean4120 also, I'd like to say I really like that hyper tough box that came out recently. I just wish it was a little more sturdy and a little bigger. I think your wrong about hd deals not selling allot of the Milwaukee deals are no longer available. Lowes has the illusion of selling out because they have very low quantities of deals available especially the V Series stuff. I was at multiple locations picking ratchets, and wrenches from sealed displays in the back. The 3 packs of ratchets was less then a dozen per a store of all three options offered. Same with the wrenches.

If they never arrive at the store, sounds like false advertisement to me.
