Accountability, is what you've seen today, people. Integrity over everything. Salute Walt. A side note on that sink drain stopper. There is a horizontal threaded rod coming from the upper drain pipe. Just pull that down and the sink stopper will raise up.

Maybe put a 3/8 plastic grommet on the backside of the disconnect then put the wires thru so that way the wires wont rub out and ground to short on the metal disconnect

We saw it was upside at the same time. Nobody is perfect ! Just for the record that water stopper has come off the metal switch that goes up and down just reattach it and its that easy.

We always put a 90 deg fitting with a 4" nipple or piece of pipe on the ends of the secondary pipe if it comes out horizontal so it does not run back to the windows which sometimes can happen. If the water runs long enough, which is most of the time, it can damage the window frames. Anytime a PVC fitting is broke like that inside the FPT, just break out a hacksaw blade and start hand cutting it top bottom and sides. Eventually you'll get to the threads of the Drain Pan without damaging them and just use a flat tip to help peel out the pieces. Nice vid.

After you put the washer in put some Teflon tape on it clockwise, this will ensures protection against leakage and call backs make sure you put Teflon over the washer and threads... 35 years in the plumbing business.

Man, whoever blew that insulation are total hacks, they didn't dam around the walkway and furnace. Today these new generation of installers don't have the pride of craftsmanship lile the older generation. Sad to see. But keep up the good work Walter.

WW...on that bathroom drain, the sink stopper is missing a spring clip that holds the popup rod onto the faucet knob/rod. To plug the drain, gently lift up on that chrome rod that goes into the drain pipe below the sink and it will lower the plunger or stopper. Then, gently pull it down to lift the stopper and open the drain. I noticed that in previous video, that little spring clip is not there and homeowner likely doesn't know it or doesn't use it. The clip is shaped like a V with two holes and it simply slides onto the plunger rod when you squeeze it closed a bit and it holds the popup rod in place which is in between the V. Yeah, its a gamble sometimes touching other folks property since they will blame the last person who was anywhere near something that is no longer working. Even if it was broken they usually didn't know it until looking over your work then expecting all to be pristine. Sometimes its just a good idea to have a bucket of misc parts that work correctly and bail you out when you run across a cluster. They didn't complain about the drain stopper on the drip so, you are safe but having that part would prevent call back and more questions. Lucky they are that you returned right away to check into their concern like a good HVAC tech would do. Good fix on that drain...NO LEAKS. Nice that the property owner took you up on the disconnect box concern. And you got them a good one. Its now done right and will help down the road with maintenance needs !!

@@Garth2011I'm surprised any handy-type person doesn't already know about that sort of thing. It's along the lines of a toilet flapper or fill valve. The average homeowner may have never lifted the tank cover or looked under a sink, but those common things are like ABCs for handy people 😊
