Lowrance Elite Console Mount on my Triton Boat

In this video I show you how I made a DIY mount for my Lowrance fish finder. I wanted to do a console mount with this Lowrance Elite Ti2 12 inch unit. I wanted to do it on a budget. There are all kinds of mounting options for several hundred bucks BUT I thought I could make it work with things I had laying around. I am happy with the end result and literally didn't have to buy a thing! Having a 12 inch fish finder on a Triton 17 Explorer is definitely a luxury for me. Does it put any stress in that plastic panel or bounce around when on rough water?

Not so much in rough water but trailering it was bouncing some so I added a threaded rod through the composite panel with a nut in front and behind it and the other end through one of the braces under the dash with a nut on each side. It made it really strong and I don’t have to worry about that anymore.

@@freaknfishn oh okay. I was thinking about putting a Helix 9 for mapping purposes. I was thinking of a way to utilize the bracing behind the console as well just to give it a little more backbone. I appreciate it thank you !

No problem. I say do it! I had a Garmin mounted out to the right of the console for a while but I hated that. Putting one on the console is so much better

How much view obstruction you have when driving?

@scottfrink9804 not much at all. I’m 5’9” and can see over it with no problem. It’s so much better having it there when you’re searching for fish
