Professional Inhouse PCB Multilayer Process

The LPKF lab equipment enable the production of pcb prototype and multilayer boards inhouse. The LPKF ProtoLaser U4 prepare the surface of each layer and cut the through holes and pockets after pressing.
The LPKF Multipress S cover the hot press process by predefined settings Multilayer PCB Prototyping | LPKF: bit.ly/3vUqLZW.
The inhouse electroplating for via and blind-vias is processed by LPKF Contac S4. Multilayer boards on all laminated materials are possible, such as copper-clad FR4, ceramic or PTFE filled RF materials or on copper coated foil materials.

@@ДЫМЯЩИЙАУТСАЙДЕР couldn't tell you yet. My lab just purchased pretty much all of this equipment to try and do small batch prototyping of some pretty high tolerance boards. But if it works like it says on the box, it should be profitable. 2mil trace and 1 mil trace boards hardly even exist in the commercial world, so you could probably charge like $12,000 for about 50 of the boards if you assembled them and made them look presentable. But I would say working in laboratories would be the main idea behind the machines

@Bonny _ Depends what you mean by school lab. If its for educational purposes then I would go with something else. A simpler milling machine using small rivets for vias would be much easier to use with students and a whole lot cheaper/safer. If you're looking at it for research purposes, thats a different story. The lasers are really quite good at removing copper and other materials on a very fine scale (about 2 mil trace/space for copper PCBs), but making fully functional boards is quite the process and they rarely come out as clean as production PCBs. The electroplating machine in particular is pretty bad.
