I'd really love to have a hoist, but the current shed is not suitable for that, plus like the rest of us mortals, I don't have excessive spare funds for that stuff.

@@Shanes_Shed mate, you have a shed. I have a garage that I can only fit the disco, if I turn the mirrors in as the big girl is wide to fit with the mirrors extended 🤣. Your shed looks like a Mercedes workshop to me 🤣 Hope you do some more videos with some odd jobs here and there 😄

I need to rebuild my steering rack too... Thanks so much for showing what it takes and all the steps. Quick question - where can I get/buy a set of the new o-rings/seals for this job? Anyone is selling it? Any ideas?

Thanks dude. If your in Australia I can let you know who I got the parts from as he will send throughout Australia. If your outside of here I’m really not sure who would sell the seals, it’s not easy to find. I had talked about what seals are required in one of the videos in this series so you could possibly purchase the seals individually if that’s an option

@@Shanes_Shed Thanks for the info. I'm in the States and it looks like I only need the seals for the input shaft and these teflon rings on the shaft. If you have any part numbers or references, that would be much appreciated!

Yeah doesn't help when the trampoline is right next door to the shed. Unfortunately there's not much flat ground at my joint for other places to put it. Fortunately they are not there all the time

Where did you purchase the replacement rings and seals?

From a local power steering repairer here in Perth, Lucas Power Steering Racks ( www.steeringlpsr.com/ ). I will be doing a follow up on the lip seal sizes as those would be easily purchased at practically any bearing supplier (at least that's who commonly sells seals here in Australia)
