Walid H it’s great just need to get it retune. The reverse gear is giving me troubles. I put in a 3200 stall as well. But it is a beast and it pulls hard when I get on it. You can see it on my gram @bbrblackwell and I’m on Facebook as well.

At 5min, a 4l80 wouldn't last a week? Yet they're behind 1000 horsepower turbo LS combos. The 4l80 and 4l85 is basically a th400 in overdrive form and the strongest of the GM overdrive transmissions.

K2s had two 12-bolt options, 9.5 (5.3) and 9.76 (6.2) inch. GMT900 Pickups with 6.2 had the 9.5 inch 14-bolt.

I love the build but it’s wierd how confused these guys are. 4l80 is a badass transmission you meant to say 4l60 and also you put a 12 bolt in not a 14 bolt and meant to say the 10 bolt is what it had in it and that it wouldn’t hold up!

Laughs in factory 6.2 6l80 14 bolt 3.73 4WD. It'll out 60 foot and 0-60 5.0 mustangs all day. Pisses them straight off racing red light to red light, ole grandpa trick with stock exhaust and camper shell. lol

Velocity Customs on the 4l60e swap to the 6l80e were you able to use the wiring harness from the 4l60e/tcm? What about the transfer case? 4l60e has 27 spline output shaft 6l80e has 32 spline. Did you use transfer case from doner truck. I have an 08 Silverado 4X4 I want to do the same swap. Thanks for the info and great video

ZeroCool we used a later model engine harness along with the transfer case off the 6l80.

A 4L60 can't handle a 4.3's potential lol, weak transmissions. Considering how cheap and easy it is to swap in a 80e I don't know why anyone would stick with a 60.

_Did u upgrade the torque converter in the 6L80e to a 6L90 one? It would've been worth it while you did the trans swap the 6L80e torque converters are known to go out around 120k._

@@patriciamartinez4056 In the video we just watched the lead dude with Velocity say the 4L60 is crap. It's fine and everything for the 290 HP 5.7 Vortec I've got in my '96 Silverado K1500. But, I'm not sold on the fact that it could handle anything above 400HP! You're pushing 430HP and a significant increase in torque. I'd go with the 6L80 and a programmer to fine tune your shift points. Better safe than sorry.

Hey guys, I've got a 2018 Silverado K1500 (4x4) 5.3 and a cool looking 4-inch lifted 1996 Silverado K1500 5.7 Vortec. The '96 only has 174K miles but since replacing it with the 2018 I've seriously been considering rebuilding the '96 rather than selling it because the '96 is just cool looking to me. And, it's been a good truck. I'm thinking about going with an LS3. I'd love to go with either the 480HP or 525HP engine but with a 5-speed manual. What kind of numbers should I expect to pay on a swap like that?"

TRB02ss a 6l80e is just as strong and has more gears. It’s up to whatever the customer wants. I like the new transmissions and the ability to tune them to shift however you want. Also you get true tap shift for lighting quick shifting.

May as well 4wd launch without the customer dude just ragged the shit out of it the doughnut contest lol As for the drag strip you should be in whatever gear is 1:1 so likely 3rd if this is 4spd auto and ideally about 200 rpm past your shift point. Also yeah cheyanne has been on chevys for many years. are you sure you are a car guy??? or maybe you are the camera man for the ch? The engine raised hell that’s for sure. If it does that in a truck it should rip in a 2n gen Trans Am
