So cool having two fabricators tackling the job. It just looks fun. Padrick is a great addition to the team!
@mikes783 ай бұрын
Agreed. As much enthusiasm and youth Will brought to things. He always felt like the little brother whom was trying to emulate and copy his bigger brothers. Which in itself is fine as everyone has to start somewhere. But him going seems to have been something that has allowed Ethan, Edwin and even Steven to shift focus into the more engineering side of their crazy contraptions. Padrick coming on is looking to be an interesting development as he is already an already skilled fabricator and I already look forward to seeing what he brings beyond what he has already done.
@AccAkut19873 ай бұрын
I wouldn't be surprised if this "first episode after introduction" tries to do exactly that, display that Ethan and Patrick are basically equals when it comes to skill, to justify him. I still wonder what Will did they don't ever even use his name on the show anymore, like in the last episode when they played around with his shopping cart. Can only imagine it wasn't an amicable split.
@dakotareid15663 ай бұрын
@@AccAkut1987 it was mutual, Will didn’t like the country life and went to live in the city and the drive is too far for him to show up every video.
@AccAkut19873 ай бұрын
@@dakotareid1566 that's the official version. But I (and many others) just doubt that it was that simple and friendly. Could have done a true farewell and send-off, in person in a video if it was like that, and not a 10 second clip Edwin recorded at his desk while editing. And the very clear "must not use his name, even if referencing old projects of him" just speaks against a mutual, friendly decision. We only know the curated video personality of each of the guys, so we will never know. But at least Will did display a rather impulsive decision making, so maybe he turned up at the shop one last day to collect "his" projects and the Shang-Li or something, and had a falling out with the others.

I did a stainless exhaust on my LQ9 swapped humvee so this brings back some memories. I had a Y-pipe about the same spot as the original instead of the dual but much of the same. I didn't have the flex joint and have had no issues with breakage. The tight space between to bell housing and tranny pan is so tight I had to bend and reweld too to get it above the plane of the frame rails. I have a full plated underside so it has to be up for the belly pan. Because of the length and body width of these anyone wheeling these hard will drag rockers, sides, fuel tank (split it open and lost all my fuel) and belly a lot. If they go the way of a plate belly pan then that will lead them to the next issue of creating too much heat between the frame rails with the exhaust and no way to get rid of the heat. Without extensive insulation of the exhaust and gas tank, on warmer days they will boil the gas which usually overwhelms the vent systems. This will swell up the gas tank and push it into the drive line. I saw they have the later variant with the metal plate on the tank so it won't wear a hole in the tank without making a lot of horrible noises. Mine didn't have it which failed my second tank. The way these guys wheel I would like to see them put in a full roll cage (mine is 2" 10 point) and five point harnesses. I have had my humvee for 8 years and wheel it hard. Humvees are crazy fun when you get more power in them and soften up the suspension. This build is the best example I've seen of what can be done with one.
