He won't be able to just keep it. They may well offer him a nice discount on buying it or they may provide the next new model to do ongoing reviews ........ that would be a good way for them to develop a really valuable mutually beneficial relationship.

There is a tool they make for changing hydraulic filters that virtually eliminates oil loss. It works better than a shop vac as it comes with little rubber grommets to make a good seale. It's called a vac trac. You won't be disappointed if you purchase one. Great video as always.
@farmertylerranch4399Ай бұрын
I’m going to look into that. Thank you!

While working on any hydraulic system, you can limit fluid leakage by attaching a vacuum on the fluid reservoir. They even make a battery powered device just for this purpose.

Just seen your camper sitting there with the roof wide open, if you can find a place to buy the rolled rubber they put on flat roof houses and get a piece big enough to cover the whole roof it will save you a lot of misery down the road. protect that roof unless of course you want to build a carport to park it under lol always enjoy your videos just seen that roof on camper I worked at a camper store when I was young and replaced a dozen roofs first year I was there, then had to repair the inside, my boss loved it cause he charged a whole lot more for my labor than he paid me lol $3.35 per hour I think in 1977 he was charging $30 for labor

No oil filter theory needed . Every oil filter I've changed has had the tightening instructions printed on the side. When I forgot to take an oil filter wrench to change the oil filter on the combine in the field , a screw driver drove though worked just fine.

Just last May…I was doing the 50 hour service on my new tractor. I, too, could not get that hydraulic oil filter off. I struggled longer than you did 😂 , looked on KZbin for a possible video out on it (to no avail) and finally called my dealer. That’s when I learned the shop vac trick! Works like a charm. I was (undeservedly of him) suspicious of some sort of prank, but tried it since I was out of other options, and discovered that hooking up the shop vac also releases the pressure lock on the filter and it unscrews easily! I’d never heard of this, but it is something I will remember next service (as soon as I’m struggling with getting the filter off) 😂 Very much enjoyed the video, and laughed at the kids running through the mud pond in the background. Mrs. wife will have a full load of laundry when this day is done! Thanks for sharing. ❤❤❤

I wonder if you could driver your tractor onto a trailer in order to elevate it enough to get underneath for servicing. You would need to create an opening in the trailer floor of course. I thought you may like to invent a service trailer as an extra project to make life easier.

I soaked logs for a log cabin that way ! worked great !

Do you think LS is watching this? That hydraulic filter was a design flaw, in my opinion. Maybe that will be changed on the next tractor out the door. They should give you this tractor for doing the field test for them. (Besides, it's a used tractor.)
