I'm trying to do my first LS swap myself. just got a 6.0 . wish me luck. I'm decent with my hands and I've did engine swaps before but never a LS swap. that wiring look like the hardest part
@mainskware Жыл бұрын
Yeah the wiring can be a little tedious, once you’re able to determine which wires needed to power up the standalone harness, it’s downhill from there my man. Good luck on your swap bro!
@artrivas57393 жыл бұрын
Did you try to move the engine forward it may clear the header tube and being closed to the firewall?
@mainskware3 жыл бұрын
I went with the 1” setback but wished I would’ve moved it forward. Once the engine dropped in i just decided to leave it where it sat. Hopefully the hooker headers will clear with my current setup.

From my experience, LS swaps are quite simple just like the old school carburated engines are now that there are soooo many resources and quick bolt-on parts available for these newer engines. I’d say...”go for it!”
