LS Swapped Rx-7 Clutch Problem SOLVED!

This video is released along side the dyno video, so be sure and see how the car performed! After a lot of frustration we managed to get the clutch issue sorted that has been keeping us off the dyno for so long. Good information regarding these clutch setups and how to avoid some headache yourself!

I have a T56 93-02 trans going into a 5.3 off a 02 Yukon. And wanted to know if they can go together and what I need. I want to also put in a release bearing type of slave cylinder on but noticed it didn't fit over the tube sleeve thing would I have to grind that off and put the cylinder over the shaft? How would this work any advise?

As long as its a LS t56 and not an LT t56 it should be a straight forward swap. This RX7 was a 5.3/t56. Clutch, flywheel, throwout, and trans were all from an LS1 Fbody Camaro.

@@NotForDowntowners so the hydro release bearing to have that I'd have to send it to someone or can I cut the tube part and use the shims they got online as a guide to create like a seat or is there a bigger diameter of RB/slave cylinder I can use? Oh and I went to a store n asked me what size of FW 13 14 or 15 I was like what it has 3 options???

Without seeing the situation honestly I can’t help much. It doesn’t sound like you have the right t56 if that’s what it is. The throw out/slave should fit just fine and all you have to do is measure for the shims.
