This is good stuff, I've been researching exhaust setups for my LS swapped RX7 and I'm just gonna give it a go doing it myself. I feel you when you said that welding under a car on jack stands sucks, I've done it when doing my transmission mount and it wasn't pleasant 😂 Cheers!

James L. Walsh best of luck to you! Our exhaust wasn’t anything to write home about but hey it got the job done.

I’ve come across a clean fc shell lately and I was wondering which ls motor would be reasonable to throw in it. I’m planning to make this a budget drift build. I don’t know anything about Ls motors. But I’m just looking for options and what the cost would be around for a total build that is kept as simple as possible.

Aaron thanks for watching! As far budget I literally just got done writing down dollar for dollar what the FC cost me and will be making a brief video breaking it down. If your budget is minimal I would just do any 4.8/5.3 you can get your hands on, stock harness (modify yourself) stock ecu, 2000 Camaro ls1 shorty headers fit great same with throttle cable, ronin mount kit, c4 corvette driveshaft, fbody waterpump/crank pulley, alternator (or an aftermarket accessory mount kit like dirty dingo). The big money item will be the t56 transmission but if you’re patient I’ve seen them as low as $1,000 in Southern California. I genuinely think you can have a running driving swap for sub $3,000-$4,000 all said and done if you do the work yourself.
