Swank! Literally just dropped my 94 toyota off for an LS swap yesterday. Hoping to keep it under 6k... expecting 8k. Yeah, it ain't cheap. But imagine 400hp @ 3000lbs... I'm drooling thinking of that power/weight ratio.

Yes sir... its fun as hell... you barely have to touch the throttle and the thing will break loose. I kinda want to build a race only Tacoma ls.. i mean.. i do that with this one. But 488s are holding it back.. but 0-100 is way faster

@@draculaS2k Any traction mods on your build? I'm assuming I'll need caltracks and wider rear wheels at the very least. Maybe some sticky rubber too. Can't get too crazy cuz I'm going for a genuine sleeper. ("Just an innocent, fleet white, everyday normal work truck. Nothing to see here. Oh, that lopey idle? Just a bad air mass sensor") Any advice appreciated.

It’s better then a new Tacoma when done right so why not dump $20,000 I. It. It’s worth it. You didn’t include after market long travel suspension and all the weld on parts! Rios Racing, do you ship him the ecu? What about a stand alone ecu?

@@draculaS2k thanks I will contact him. I bought a ACES stand alone ECU. Comes with a manifold, LCD screen for the dash and fuel delivery system. It can bring the horsepower of the LS3 engine I bought up to 800 horsepower. How much horsepower do you think a 2014 Tacoma can handle? I am also waiting on a monster transmission that’s rate. For 1100 horsepower. I have big brake kit on the front and one ready to be installed on the rear!

Just buying a LS3 & a standalone ECU it's not going to get you up to 800hp

@@draculaS2k so this rios racing place, do you ship him your ECU or does he just tune it remotely once everything is set up and ready to be tuned? I am doing the same thing. I just bought a really clean 07 with the 2tr-fe. I love it but that motor is just so gutless. I'm trying to figure out what I want to do about it. I could pull the motor out, rebuild it (280k miles) and just add boost to it, or I could look to swap it. If I'm going through the trouble of swapping then I'm putting a v8 in it. I really like the ls swap
@draculaS2k3 жыл бұрын
If you got the money to swap it. I say do it..... it's less money to make a small truck do big truck things. It's more expensive to have two trucks 🤣🤣
@mikecurry68473 жыл бұрын
@@draculaS2k yeah the money really isn't an issue. My main concern is that I would be reliant on my friends for their knowledge. My best friend is really into cramming big engines into little spaces so he would definitely be who I'd have helping me. I’m building my 94 Toyota pickup and I have a 5.3ls with a 4l80e. Still a lot of work ahead of me. My question is what can did you go with and what torque converter did you match it with?
@draculaS2k3 жыл бұрын
It's all depends what you do to your engine. I have a stage 4 btr camshaft so i have to run 2800 or up torque converter. So it doesn't push through the brakes. If you're just doing like a stock engine camshaft then you can go with a stock torque converter.
