Update on the 330_Garage turbo LS1 build. Engine goes in, hopefully for the last time, with the 4L80e. Struggles and challenges as I work through sorting out the wiring, connecting and adaptors.
1969 Ford F100 gets swapped with a turbo LS1 and 4L80e. VS Racing 78/75.

That’s sacrilegious a Chevy motor into a Ford listen brother no disrespect I honor your hustle and work but the 390 was a perfect piece you spent time and money Be different stay old school

@@nakedgoblin4090 I have a customer who tried to keep his truck Ford, the turbo 393 Windsor kept eating self, i swap it to a turbo ls it makes 766whp now threw a th400, its night & day better to drive, way more reliable, it doesn’t matter what motor he puts in it as long as he can afford it and likes it that is all that matters

@@Boostismyfriend I understand what your saying the 390 engine are good for Naturally aspirated but when go to car shows you mostly see ls engines swaps but what ever ticks your clock I love your show it’s your bbq and it smells but keep up the good work brother

Bussmann 15305-5-2-4 is the one you want. I ended up in the same situation you did with the fuel relay in the Holley harness. The 15305-5-2-4 has just the one bus for 12v + and then you are free to wire up your own 12v - trigger on the fuel relay. Did a wire diagram for how mine will work out if you are interested.

photos.app.goo.gl/BzF1WGsmni624Mqu9 Hopefully my handwriting is legible. The left is the fuse panel and the right is battery connections. For my build (ford 460), I have the sniper (wished I did the terminator-x), hyperspark ignition, and 3G alternator. so spending a lot of time on the wiring.

That's a IAT aka Intake Air Temperature Sensor not a manifold sensor.

LMC truck sells those as a bolt in kit. It's made by TMI, but LMC has the best price by far. I have been really impressed with that seat setup

what wheel setup are you running? like to know rear width and offset, I'm doing the 8.8 swap in my 71 and would like to get an idea of what wheel specs ill need thanks

I’m in it for the long run didn’t like it when you got an LS but I admire your craftsmanship and attention to detail until I can over look the LS for awhile but maybe this is inspiring me to get my build on KZbin except I’m keeping the 390 in lol

Did you keep your 390, just in case you might want to put it back in one of these days?? That 390 was SWEET in there! My opinion, but good luck with this build can't wait to see how it runs.

No, I actually sold the 390 to another guy with an F100. Its out ripping around East Texas somewhere now. I have to agree, that was a fun motor!

The hydraulic shop should be able to put an end onto the Fbody High pressure line to adapt to the -6AN adapter for the CV rack. it would prolly be cheaper and a way cleaner installation that way then cutting up both hoses and fitting em together.

Yeah, I thought about using the AN fittings and some PTFE hose. This seemed cheap enough since I had the hoses already. Fingers crossed it works out

How are you going to reduce the PS pump pressure for the CV rack?

Oh, good question, I have the Borgeson pressure reduction kit to install in the pump. I have seen other guys talk about the GM pump putting too much pressure on the CV rack.

Did you have to modify the crossmember between the trans mount and the crown Vic ifs for the trans pan, or were you able to create enough wiggle room with the motor mount front and back adjustment?

Some of those Panther cars have variable assist power steering; that pressure sensor in the power steering line would be the input for the control system. You may find it feels over boosted at higher speeds depending on the output if the GM pump.

On my power steering pump I bought a high pressure A/N 6 hose kit off summit and they are holding up great so far

Why an ls tho!? It’s a bad ass build man but in my opinion the ls kinda killed it. To each their own but I would’ve loved to see a Ford power plant instead of the ls swap everyone and their mom does! Keep up the good work man, hope to see more videos of it soon
