Haynow! What a find. The same carb. & same rebuild kit that I have. You took me threw it. 55 years old and it's my first carb. rebuild. The first job on my restoration of my 1968 Ford F-100 4x4 390. Thanks for the help.

Awesome! Not many people on KZbin have done or shown how to diy crown Vic coilovers. I’m thinking about doing what you do and was interested in knowing what coilovers you used. Btw what spring rate did you use?

An after thought. Does that cam have advance built in? Some do.
@user-tn1hk6zm2f22 күн бұрын
Should have advanced it 4 degrees. You would have been glad you did. More low end torque and as the timing chain wears the timing will retard. Also better vacuum. If your looking for high rpm hp go straight up or retarded.

We do this relieving in our shop, but not a lot of the crown Vic swaps. This has been one of the best videos I have found on the Internet for a little bit of instruction. Good job man.

Awesome build, those u bolts for the bed… I can’t stand them, after a couple years they don’t wanna come off, the nut breaks free from the clip and just spins, anti seize the bolts and nuts. I live in Michigan as a collision tech, I’ve seen brand new trucks have issues trying to remove the bed.

Sure seems like that it’d be a lot easier to do a total frame swap between the F150 & Crown Vic. Just saying.

What did you think of the 250lb spring in the rear or did you go with a different rate ?

I couldn't get mine out like this. I had to take the front clip off in my video. My engine is a 429 big block and wouldn't get over the front with my engine hoist.

You mentioned the ride height was fully loaded…yet the bed was not on. Did I miss that part? Or do you consider the bed to have no significant weight?
