GT cut 3 is actually slightly cheaper where I'm from since new colorways are still coming out but AE 1 has stopped restocking for a while, so the price from different distributors for AE 1 has gone up quite a bit, while GT Cut 3 is still at it's original pricing, with some of the shops selling it at a discount, even.

Are the AE 1's really that fire. I've been seeing nothing but reviews saying they're elite. But I can't get over the look, it just looks meh. GT Cut 3's look nicer imo

The look is honestly probably it's strongest selling point. This is the first negative critique I've seen about the cosmetics too. It's a great shoe but the toes are a little pointy so I'd size up a little bit so it's not forcing your foot into an awkward position.

How can you recommend such a heavy shoe? I can't understand why Adidas makes such heavy shoes and why anybody would wear them for playing sports. I hate having anything heavy on my feet especially if I'm playing sports. If they didn't have Anthony Edwards' name on them I highly doubt anyone would play in them except for maybe really big guys who mostly play in the paint and dominate with their size.

While that might be your personal preference it doesn’t mean that that’s the case for everyone. Yes I also don’t like that they are heavy but you don’t even feel it that much on court. Obviously marketing plays a big role in shoes doing well but if they were bad and had AEs name on them then I/other reviewers would say so

@@ls_hoops fair enough as far as everyone has their own preference but I would expect that most would agree that light is better than heavy so as long as the shoes have decent support and traction then I personally and I imagine others would appreciate reviews that state explicitly that the shoe is heavy and isn't as good as other lighter shoes. A good example of this is with the Lebron 20 and 21. Sure they look cool and are fairly comfortable but they are heavy and not as good for playing in as a lighter good quality shoe. I'd be surprised if anyone actually disagrees with this. I tried playing in the 20's and while they are playable they are not as good as a lighter good quality shoe. I think weight is a critical factor in evaluating the quality of a shoe.
