How could anyone not LOVE Adam Lambert. He's kind, sweet, loving, caring and so honest which is rare in our modern world. He's also a beautiful looking man with a beautiful heart. I couldn't love him more than I do after 8 years of going to his and Queen's concerts. His voice and stage performance is unmatched in today's world of mediocre singers.

I grew up in a very religious family and my dad was the church pastor. I was terrified of someone finding out I was gay. I was born with a blood disorder called Sickle cell and it causes very painful episodes that feel like glass shards running through your veins. Every time I got sick I thought it was god punishing me for being gay. I thought I deserved that pain eventhough I was only 7 or 8 and had not even kissed a guy yet. So I went through some really awful times in school & I thought it would never get better. But after I went off to college and started to find new friends my life improved in ways I never thought possible. I still have my ups and downs but I'm so happy I didn't give up. So my advice to young adults in very religious families, find a college far away from your family and live your life on your own terms.

Lovely vid! I love this series. And omg, those school memories! :D So totally the same, me being really involved in class and exploring things in my head (I was even deeply into "Velvet Goldmine" later and wondering, "what's this all about?"). I love, love, love this totally nerdy stuff he's mentioning - being a nerd suggests a very deep passion underneath, which is incredibly sexy. People really need to understand that because they will be SO happy if they allow themselves to see past an image. I'm not gay, but I am psychic - which is definitely a form of queer. I'm Romanian, by the way. I always felt that beyond the Hollywood establishment was this "imaginary ideal American boy" (who looked exactly like this) who often took me on learning trips. Showing me this or that scene in a movie. As it turns out we watched the same shows, so hmmm.... also, in Romania the ancient guides on such paths were called "Wolves" for being outsiders.

Oh dearest Adam, it got better BUT its STILL going to get better. You're still underrated and unappreciated because of your sexuality. I STILL seen many people shame you because of that. Someday you are going to be one hell of a legend because you are simply THE BEST SINGER this generation has. No auto tune, no voice editing, no lame ass cheesy lyrics, no garbage. Pure talent, hard work and a gorgeous face and personality
@AdinaIspas8 жыл бұрын
Forget about "someday", let's just live life in the present. Right now, I see people shame him for different reasons: they think he's "illuminati" because they don't understand how the closet thing affected the initiation circles back in the day. People, the REAL Illuminati are the GOOD guys who knew the truth! and no-one cares about the fake ones. Wtf, stop promoting the immature version of Mankind... knowledge is our birth right. This conspiracy sh*t makes him want to escape by saying in interviews "There's no meaning" - which in turn shames people like me who actually are Thinkers like him! Yes, indeed, "it's just a pretty pattern" because he has no deeper heart connection with the person whom the pattern represents. They're essentially platonic... And because he hides nothing, "there's no hidden meaning" (this is a message for those who are still afraid). What he says, is personal to him. It doesn't imply we should be shaming other Thinkers who don't really care much about forging a "legendary status" for him. Believing in this legendary nonsense creates only illusions, because it comes from emotional baggage. True love is much, much more important. And he knows that, too.

I never used to think I cared what people thought of me. I came out a year ago just to my family and they've been great.After verbalizing that I was gay, I realized how much I did care what people thought. All the repression from my past started to bubble up and I've been dealing with it since. Over the past few months I've begun to care less and less what people think of me and I love it. It really does get better and the key is to know yourself and your worth. If you value and respect yourself then others will too eventually. It's all about confidence.

His Mom thought he might be gay before this, She went to talk to someone about how to handle it, they told her to wait until he tells you. On the way back from this program she asked him, if he would like to have a girlfriend, he said no, thn asked him if he would like to have a boyfriend, he said maybe and then the ice was broken. I have a 22 year old granddaughter who i think possibly is gay. I won;t say anything to her until she is comfortable coming out, if she is gay. It is the persons choice about when they want to come out. I love her and no matter what happens that will not change.

He opened my eyes to what children face as they discover they're a little different from many classmates. I never thought about that aspect, that it would happen so young and the fears that would arise. In a different interview he shared that coming out to yourself is the hardest of all. Sad for those whose families scorn and reject their children. It's tragic.
@LauriellenLOLpsychic8 жыл бұрын
Adam's parents were open, liberal, progressive... and yet he was still afraid. I can't even imagine what goes through children's minds if they come from a family that is not accepting. What I give his parents credit for is trying different activities when he was young and not pushing anything on him, to let him find himself and a place where he felt included and welcomed.

"You've got to let it go! That's the thing that's in your way." Well-said statement about self-acceptance. While I'm not gay, I'm a single mother in the state of Utah where unwed mothers are taboo. The constant people always trying to set me up with so-and-so's brother, or saying, "I know a single dad," threw me so headlong into wanting to escape I'm practically a recluse. I think it's time to straighten up and simply say that I'm perfectly happy being a single mom. I can always have friends.
@AdinaIspas8 жыл бұрын
We all have our individual soul mate, who can make it appear like we're essentially nuns. Not everyone spends their life together, but the link is always there. We know deep inside that when it comes to having someone balance us out, things are pretty specific and not run-of-the-mill so-and-so's brother. That's why, if you've already had a child or children, you can just tell everyone you've "done your part". The rest is private and as said, because of this link which is always there, the children are much happier with a happy mom (rather than a mom who's trying to make it work with a friend, who will then most likely become an enemy...).
@debbielough77548 жыл бұрын
But surely looking at it that way can hurt some people in MJ's position too. Not everybody who's a single parent is so because they met their soul mate, and lost them somehow. Some people are single parents because they did something of which they didn't realise the consequences (got knocked up to use old fashioned parlance (and I'm in Britain, and was the result of a teenage mother so sorry if it's still a horrifying phrase to anybody). Stuff happens, and it's not always perfect, but you can be happy. I have friends who are single - some parents, some not, some because they've lost people for whatever reason, others because they never found them. Society just needs to accept that there are as many different ways to live as there are people, and we're all valid. MJ - I hope it's a bit easier for you now!
@TrappedinSLC5 жыл бұрын
Getting together with a dude just so you can both be non-single is a ridiculous reason to get into a relationship and doomed to failure. What silly people you’re surrounded by. Be yourself, be single if that’s your thing, do you!

Yeah, with me then! I have his exact brain, but I'm a girl. Must be the Romanian in us. So I'm into cute small guys, but unfortunately many of them are not allowed to be like that, everyone makes fun of them because they're supposedly not "masculine" enough. This in turn messes with my attraction because mentally I'm drawn to confident guys - but if you're constantly made fun of, it takes its toll. Totally crappy society we live in. I think that a person should be masculine/feminine as much as they want, because it's essentially a private thing to do with a relationship. (It's not the Army or the Party who needs to appreciate you, it's your Love...)

Wonderful Adam! The same Comming out story like my son and me . I asked him the question because I wanted to know finally whether he's gay . He was 16 years old and he has not dared to say but I felt it for two years that it is so. He told me what he has done for a fight against it, and he began secretly to scratch. Terrible! But now I know it and it was perfectly fine for me. I love my son more than anything!!!

I have mad respect for adam lambert!!! He is 100% brave and right. When he was asked if he was gay...he owned it and told the truth and the public accepted it. There was no scandal. It infuriates me that gutless men like Ricky Martin and Anderson Cooper (yes! i said it!) both denied being gay for years like it was something shameful. even though Blind Freddie could see they were gay. And it makes the public suspicious of gay people like: "Is he or isnt it"? And it became more of a scandal when they finally did come out...because they vehemently denied it for years. Honesty is the best policy!

Adamazing!!! How could you not be a fan. I certainly am a proud Glambert
@AdinaIspas8 жыл бұрын
Oh, I am easily not a fan because I consider myself of the real Family. I am Romanian so things are wired differently for me. Back in the day, I thought I was a Queen Fan, but I soon realized my experiences and feelings regarding them were derived from something else entirely. I don't know. maybe others can also learn this about themselves. It's important to know oneself and know energy. Fandom just seems to be about wasting energy in the wrong directions. It doesn't necessarily help the artist, either. For example Elvis had so many fans - did they help him be happy? Arr, see, it's a problem. Luckily, Adam's not "Elvis" no matter how attractive the parallel might be to some... they really need to think about what they're saying. In "We Will Rock You", Elvis and others are mentioned as those who tried to break through to the other side, but FAILED. Ya want that here? I don't think so...

Cristina, I think Adam should have won also, jmo, I think he was the best singer/performer that year. BUT - look where he is now, what doors opened for him. Doors that may not have opened had he been the winner and tied to a year of AI travel etc, he's doing awesome, appears 100% happy with his life - many of the winners of these shows are nowhere now - one major exception - Kelly Clarkston an probably Adam would have been that other exception, but they say one door closes and another opens and, hell, many opened for Adam - was meant to be and he has an awesome career and life, he doesn't appear to hold any regrets about not winning - ya winning would have been awesome, but just look where he is now !!!! Other than Kelly, and I've heard Scott McCreary's name pop up here and there, I don't think any of the winners really got a career from the idol. So I think Adam has done a damn Great job with his career and talent for being the runner up JMHO

So glad he has good parents...love should never change when a kid comes out to parents.
