We need LSU to breed a fig tree for short season states. Please don't tell me about hardy Chicago and brown turkey. We need a good tasting, quality fig tree that ripens in zone 7. I tried the MSU fig trees in my Zone 7a but fruit did not ripen.

So you are growing in pots so you can push the benefits of your fertilizer which reduces flavor if used after fruit set? If a nutrient formula can't be used during meristem transition, it's nowhere near balanced.
