I remember this so well. I was pregnant with my son. We had friends over for the game, I was picking up the mess and I heard the call… I put the trash bag down and watched the best catch! Everyone was jumping up and down including me. So great. My son was born 4 days later on a Wednesday. I will always remember that game.

Fans questioned Miles for not using his last timeout. Fact is if he had, Auburn would have sent a defense out there with a bunch of Dbs and you are not going to get that one on one matchup he got. Also had it been incomplete there was still enough time to kick a field goal.

Flynn wasn't afraid to pass the ball when Miles called the plays, then it was Jarrett Lee that helped us out with the passing, not jordan jefferson. Then it was Mettenberger who was literally our best QB under Miles, just look at the stats of passing yards. The problem is, these QBs come once in a few years, Miles always wants the most mobil QB he can get, example, Jennings and Harris, he eventually went to Harris, who supposedly has good stats this year but still sucks at no full passing attack and isn't that good at completions in several of these games this year, tonight, against Texas A&M he only had 7 passes for 83 yards total. Shameful.
@rahlohmcdonogh50358 жыл бұрын
Jarrett Lee was the worst quarterback LSU hadms had since Marcus Randall:Jordan Jefferson was very underrated and didnt lose games!Jarrett "pick 6" Lee was a liability everytime he went back to pass!I really believe LSU was sabotaged that year with the arrest of Jefferson.Can anyone tell me the result of all that crap ,No!Jefferson said that wasnt hima and I believe him. The guy he or whoever that was allegedly assaulted was ex-military he was sent there to set Jefferson up!The police chief was new sent there to put Black athletes in jail.The ruined the cohesion of LSU football and the program still hasnt fully recovered!Wake up people the Devil is among you!
@quentindiaz94188 жыл бұрын
Rahloh McDonogh well jefferson still wasn't better in my opinion. We need a QB like JaMarcus Russel, that can throw and run all together, Jordan was that QB but i felt he didn't do much as we should have seen. I am REALLY tired of these running QBs in LSU. Under Miles, Mettenberger was the best QB in a while, aka a passing QB. Brandon Harris we have now just isn't good. Fournette has helped him out all kinds of ways but when we needed #6 to help out he overthrows a lot and doesn't have a good QB pass percentage in those big games. The coaches and scouts seriously should do a better job at finding their guys, and we supposedly had the #1 QB in Louisiana or whatever coming next year but bailed out due to the rumors of Miles leaving... that mofo wasn't loyal to LSU, he wanted to go to the right coach but in my mind i would go to for the school

+MrHusker93 he is not back. Miles hasn't been the same for the second half of his 11 years with them. He been making poor play calling most of the times where he shouldn't be calling that certain play, and the fact he doesn't find a decent QB to work with right now, Mettenberger was his best, then Flynn and Lee, but they were in separate years apart in the school
@JFaust-sg6qi9 жыл бұрын
Definitely a great throw and catch. However, this game winning TD was only possible due to a blown spot by the refs just a few plays prior to this. LSU instead should have been faced with 4th down and half a yard to go at the Auburn 38 yard line with 2:11 left on the clock in the game. If the refs would have marked the ball correctly, it's either a 55 yard field goal attempt for LSU at that moment or LSU elects to roll the dice on fourth down with an iffy 4th down conversion which could end the game for them right there. Instead of what should have happened though, the refs gave LSU 4 fresh downs at that moment in the game when it should have been fourth down clearly. Go watch the replay on youtube. You'll see what I'm talking about. Watch the replay from 2:32 left on the game clock until 2:11. Pause the video between 2:23-2:22 left on the game clock and note the position of the ball carrier in relation to the first down marker. The refs blindly awarded LSU a first down on this play they didn't earn and it did impact the game. It should have been 4th down at the Auburn 38 yard line with either a 55 yard field goal attempt or a roll of the dice by Miles for a fourth down try.
