⚠️ Note: The rubber tape I used in the video did not hold up to multiple removal and re-attachments over time. The better solution is to take the supplied rubber pads and secure them to the clamps with electrical tape. You can watch the 3 month update video for a better explanation.
I tested universal roof racks until I found one that fit my tC and I felt was secure. The one I chose was an all metal, aerodynamic one from LT Sport.
In my video, I use zinc plated lock nuts, but I have included a link below to stainless steel ones which will be better.
⚠️ Note: The exact model I reviewed is no longer available, but I have added a link to it's replacement. It sells out often, so the link may be dead. Great Video! Ordered everything you used on your TC. Have you tested the quality of the "updated" 48" LT Sport Roof Rack link? Just going to use it for a Surfboard but want to make sure it looks as good as yours.

I haven't tested the newer model, but it looks the same except for the end caps. Just make sure it's secure (watch my follow up video as well) and that you mount the surf board correctly to prevent aerodynamic lift. I think I read somewhere you want to have it upside-down with the fins forward?

So it was 48” as total... did it hang off, I have cross bars that are at biggest 46”... did you have to use all 48”?

Yes, 48" total and installed as is. What you see in the video and thumbnail is how it looks.

There could be a manufacturing shortage. There are other LT Sport roof racks such as amzn.to/3xAcJRr that will fit, but not the aerodynamic one I have in this video. If you get on of the square racks, you should get a fairing as well.

Amazon fitment is not correct. They are basically universal roof racks.

Had the same roof rack, loaded 2 kayaks, was driving on the free way and everything fell apart dented side of my tc, be carful I wouldn’t recommend this type of roof tack

How long did you have it installed? I've been using mine for months now without any issues so far, but I think having lock nuts on there helps.
