When I was a teenager my friend was obsessed with Ava Gardner. She certainly captured some hearts.

LT, you did a great job chronicling the life of this legendary Hollywood Beauty. Miss Gardner, lived her life in her own terms. It is sad that she lived pretty much alone in the later years of her life. Ava Gardner was the love of Frank Sinatra's life. I find it rather revealing that Ms. Gardner was buried in South Carolina, in the East and Frank Sinatra' was buried in Palm Springs, in the west. It is strange that two people who loved each other so much at one time, would end up so far apart in the end. LT you gave another great story!

Think she wore those dark glasses to avoid being recognized after being in the world spotlight for so long. She was my idol growing up and I've visited her apartment in London many a times, the last being a week ago when I went to see the V&A museum which is a 10 minute walk from Ava"s home. Best wishes

Hey there L T Really nice film as always Where you are filming there it's known as a mews Little secret streets tucked away nice and snug in amidst the chaos and noise of the city It costs a fortune to live somewhere like that Specially Ava's house I've just watched your Kirk Douglas and Peter Falk films You know it's actually quite sad because I'm 56 now and grew up on Columbo Here in the UK it was on all the time and Kirk Douglas in Spartacus must've seen it a dozen times and the fact that I don't think anyone from that golden generation is still here There is one lady though who is very much still with us though I listen to a lot of audio books and plays and right now to help me relax at night cause I don't sleep too well I'm listening to the Lux theatre production of War of the Worlds from 1954 it's incredible to hear those old adverts And during an ad break from the show they were promoting a film called THE RACERS starring Kirk Douglas Lee J Cobb and Cesar Romero plus a few more They'd just had the first screening in America because it was made in Europe I absolutely love all that stuff Sorry I digress In the radio show the 2 stars are Dana Andrews and the still very much alive and 91 years young Patricia Crowley I googled her page She was a beauty back in the day and still very much alive and loving life But she is a rare and precious gem from an amazing time I know a lot of horrific things happened in Hollywood and many tragic deaths have occurred IF this happened today a lot of people would be in jail and rightly so Look at poor Judy Garland The studios had her tripping off her arse just so the filming could be finished in the allotted time Wizard of Oz I'm referring to of course She was then and addict from 13 to when she died I sort of am interested in some of that stuff as I'm a recovering addict of 15 years been clean since may 2019 but it's bloody tough some days So when I see what the studio's did to those children some of them it makes me weep and very angry But what's done is done I guess Sorry about that I watched one of Judy Garland's last performances and it is soul destroying really 49 I think she was tragic Anyway enough of my self pity thankyou for your brilliant films they are so well done and interesting too Have a wonderful Christmas 2024 It's 4 o clock here on the North Norfolk coast in England Dark already And I'm off to feed my mad kitten Gizmo Take care be lucky and safe cheers from David 🏐🥅⚽♥️⛄🎄🎁✨🕊️👏🥂

Your videos are always inciteful and full of information…i love watching them. Ava Gardner was one of those women, like a lot of women from the big screen both English and American, who, when i was growing up i considered to be probably the most beautiful woman on earth..and that changed regularly depending on which film i was watching😊 Great video again LT 😀

Ava closed her chapter in Spain & moved to London for a quieter life. She made good friends and was at peace with herself! One of the greatest natural beauties of all time with tremendous presence. Underrated as an actress and lived life the way she wanted, but never forgot her roots. Grabtown girl! Stayed true to herself! It was great to see the last home she lived in.

Between the ages of 3 and 6 I lived in Ennismore Gardens. This was from 1953 to 1956. I can't remember which number though. But it really wasn't all that posh though. It was a number of years after the war and the London coucil requisitioned many houses because of war damage. We had one room on the first floor with the balcony and shared a kitchen and toilet facilities with the rest of the occupants of the building. Although I was very young I still have some vague memories of my time there.

Horrible gossip! There is no proof of her urinating at the Ritz Carlton. Ava was wild to many, but never vulgar. It’s very disrespectful to spread such rumors. Thanks for the video.

Such an attractive woman, who fought for the rights of African Americans . Wonder why she preferred the Uk over the USA. Gregory peck adopted her dogs when she died.

She always said they left her alone in London (people and press); she loved her privacy.
