Luang Prabang had been the royal capital of Laos for a long time It is situated on a peninsula formed by the Mekong and the Nam Khong Rivers.
It is a melting pot of various cultures and has many Buddhist monasteries and temples.
The serene river and the peaceful town of Luang Prabang is very captivating.
