I have heard WD-40 can destroy plastics parts that is connected to your car anti-theft system. It's a temporary solution.

You shouldn't use wd40, it provides a temporary fix but Wd40 attracts dust which causes future failures. Get some dry lube.

Yes I was told that as well I'm at advanced auto and they don't have it. Where can I find it at?

@@TheMriceman24 look for graphite lube. If auto stores don't have it then places like home depot or Lowe's should have it

i used some some electrical cleaner in mine. not oily stuff ect. it flushed it out. i did it 3 times+alot of nasty looking stuff washed out. key was stiff a couple days but works fine now. better than ever.

Do not use ordinary WD40. A pencil rubbed down the key works brilliantly.

@@keybaangel3 I figured it out. Just draw on the key excessively until it's covered in the graphite and them insert it in the key cylinder on the car repeatedly

I am a little worried about the long term effects but tonight I couldn't turn the key at all and figure not much to lose. A few squirts "inside" with the red tube and it turns freely. I am sure the method in this video would get in there eventually.

انا بعد تزييت الاستوتش رفض يفتح المفتاح والمفتاح ماتحرك من مكانه لادقه ولا دقتين كان المفتاح ماهو حق السيارة .. الي استنتجته بعدين انه التزييت والنظافه تشيل الشوايب الي ماليه الفراغ والمفتاح قديم وممسوح كان مع الوساخه يقبل لاكن بعد النظافه تغير الوضع صار فيه فراغ حتا تركيب المفتاح صار يحك كانه ماهو مفتاح السيارة الحل بعد النظافه روح قص مفتاح جديد بسنون جديده ب٧٠﷼ وراح يشغل السيارة على طول بدون خساير ولا فك اي قطعه .هذي تجربتي وصل الله وسلم على نبينا محمد.

WD-40 is not a lubricant. WD stands for Water Displacement. It removes water, rust and dirt.

I put the lithium lubricant in key ignition, now I have a sizzling noise coming from inside the ignition, don't know how bad it is now...
