@@khepresh I used the term "Upper Class" advisedly, because that's what they're known as (John Cleese in the famous TWTWTW sketch with the two Ronnies, viz). But it's actually having pots of money that allows some people to protect their own, more than others can. Sure - you can have closed doors on supplying information, but I think this was more than that, in that he was actively assisted in his escape. And I think you're wrong - they wouldn't have been so keen to help had it actually been his "Upper Class" wife he'd succeeded in bumping off. There would have been more of a moral outrage among his contemporaries and his social circle. So I can't agree with you - his position in society, and his wife's, definitely made a difference, as the documentary I think portrays, by reminding us how litle an account was attributed, particularly in the press, to the poor victim and her family. And I'm watching it because I personally knew some of the people involved. For the same reason that I'll watch a clip on the ESSEX BOYS murders. So watch your fucking step, asshole. Hope you've been vaccinated. That way you'll soon discover how malignant the "conspiracy" actually is. Any preference for the flowers by your headstone?

Note the Aspinall inscription. He said Lucan wanted to " *Repossess* his children ". Men like Lucan should not be put in the same category as loving fathers. All these men care about is power. They want custody simply to win a game; they don't give a damn what is best for children.
@mikeheap7978

Oh you know so little of the minimal rights fathers have in court when it comes to rights of access to children. God only knows how many women have lied over the years in order to control custody of children. Your coments are so ignorant and historically and in fact incorrect.
@sisterkerry
@sisterkerry 3 жыл бұрын
@@mikeheap7978 I note that you defend a father as an appropriate man to have custody of his children, when the man has bullied and abused his wife (the mother of said children) tried to have her put in an insane asylum, stalked and harassed her, murdered their nanny with an iron bar by beating her head in (with the children in the house), and the final dénouement, beat their mother with the iron bar when he realised his mistake. The plan being to murder the children's mother and win his possessions. The children. None of this could be considered conducive to children's wellbeing. Primates and mammals; in fact all members of the animal kingdom, are raised by female mothers. The offspring of just about every species on earth are raised by the female. Most with almost no contact with the male. A woman's body goes through cataclysmic physiological changes during pregnancy, not simply the obvious ones most people will be familiar with. The Physiopedia summarises: "Pregnancy and its changes is a normal physiological process that happens in all mammalian in response to the development of the fetus. These changes happen in response to many factors; hormonal changes, increase in the total blood volume, weight gain and increase in fetus size. All these factors have a physiological impact on all systems of the pregnant woman; musculoskeletal, endocrine, reproductive system, cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal system and renal changes." The male physiological change is ejaculation. A study published in Nature Neuroscience (2016) shows that pregnancy drastically and permanently changes the woman's brain. The study reveals that: "...during pregnancy women undergo significant brain remodelling that persists for at least two years after birth" The Research team at the University of Barcelona discovered from scans that there are significant grey matter changes in brain regions that control social cognition and theory of mind, which is the neural network that helps us ascertain what someone else is thinking about. The regions also activated when mothers looked at their babies. "These changes, that were still present two years after birth, predicted women's scores on a test of maternal attachment, and were so clear that a computer algorithm could use them to identify which women had been pregnant." There were *no* changes in the brains of fathers or non-parents. The neural changes between male and female brains are currently understood to begin when the baby is about seven weeks in the womb. The male baby gets a giant surge of the male hormone, testosterone. This process kills off cells responsible for emotion and communication and increases areas responsible for sex and aggression. The female brain continues to develop in those two areas unabated. Studies now determine a strong biological disposition for female babies to be interested in people; male babies things. Care has been taken to ensure no bias in the predisposition of ideas about sex is featured in the conclusions. Early studies, concluded that female babies were picked up more, but later studies determined that female babies made more eye contact, indicated they wanted to be picked up and were more easily comforted by human interaction. The conclusion is that from the earliest time, the male and female brains are being prepared for their different roles in childrearing. In addition to noting that you thought the male should have custody of young children without taking his personal traits into account, I also note that you show no concern that children have need of a mother. I, in contrast, indicated my respect for "loving fathers". The first thing a loving father will do, in my experience, is respect the maternal role and not attempt to usurp or dismiss it. Women are more adjusted biologically to attend to the needs of the children, whereas fathers are more inclined to teach. This would be observed by anthropologists in tribal customs, and archaeologists putting together the habits of early communities. I believe that in complex human society it is advantageous to have mother and father working together to raise children. I respectfully acknowledge the important role played by loving fathers. Two social problems have arisen from the same ideological source. Terrible damage to marriage and the family by the nineteen-sixties sexual revolution, and todays androgynous gender ideology led by leftist feminists. We have not the space to unpick the mess of all this. Women/ mothers are being terribly badly damaged by these feminists. The economy having warped their natural proclivity to raise their own young into virtual impossibility. Marriage is seen as just a sex thing, with no responsibility, duty, honour or respect. Undoubtedly, men are also being treated with terrible contempt by this leftist feminism. They will tolerate men only if men are doing as they're told - which is to not act like men. The whole gender ideology is insensible nonsense. For example, they claim their is a gender spectrum, but do not except their is a gender binary. By definition, a spectrum is a point between two extreme poles. The two gender poles are the binary masculine and feminine. The spectrum depends on the binary for it's existence. Sensible men and women are floundering about in this ridiculous narrative, and everyone is harmed. There are undoubtedly some women unfit to be mothers. Certainly, the way they are being raised does not help them transition to marriage and motherhood. The problem is not just the fault of their parents. One cannot subtract the effects of education, media and entertainment in shaping the views and person of the young. But they grow up confused, and lacking skills of maternity and homemaking that would make their future transition easier. They would also be better wives, if their femininity was nourished, so perhaps not divorced in the first place. Having I hope made it clear that the masculine influence is vital, and that not all women are fit to be mothers, I must state clearly that there are some men who want custody of the children in order to spite their wives. They know that the only thing they can do to destroy a woman's life is to take away their children. Some have used the analogy that the "umbilical cord is never cut". A woman has a biological connection to the children that a father simply does not have. A man _choses_ whether to be a father and connect with a child. The mother does not. Taking children away from their mother is a form of evil with it's own circle in Hell. I believe it should only happen if it can be clearly proven that she is unfit. Even then, every effort should be made to help her be a better mother. A simple, if uncomfortable, fact is many men do not want much to do with the children of a woman he has lost interest in. We must encourage a man to not abnegate his responsibilities. Wherever we go from here we are floundering in a giant mess. The key word to solve this mess is respect. Respect and a dusting down of common sense. Women will lie to keep their children. They will kill also. Their maternal biological imperative must never be denied. Men who are loving fathers will always respect the importance of the mother. If he tries to take her children away the chances are he hates her and that is his motive. A clearer case that this would be hard to find.

@@sisterkerry I'm not defending that father. I'm defending the 10's of 1000 fathers who have to fight a bias justice system just to get any access to their children. That father deserved no access while many thousands are forced to fight in the courts for any access. It's a scam to exchange money from families to lawyers but causes so much misery for fathers and children. These mothers who obstruct the fathers from real access to their children are parasites and there are far more of these about than fools like Lucan.
@sisterkerry
@sisterkerry 3 жыл бұрын
@@mikeheap7978 You didn't have enough basic respect to acknowledge the points I went to great trouble to make. This is the problem I suspect you have, an inability to see beyond yourself. A typical trait of one of the fathers I cite. A man who is embittered by the mother of his children. You do not acknowledge the importance of the mother at all. You do not consider the needs of children, only the wants of embittered fathers. Mothers also go through terrible problems in the law courts over custody, yet you do not consider that either. Motherhood is natural and powerful; perhaps there is nothing quite so powerful. It is interesting that most fathers wanted nothing further to do with the children of women they had lost interest in - until they were called on to pay child support. Only then do they start claiming they want custody. There is no question of access. Fathers always get access. I have been told that in America, even rapists get access to the outcome of their crime once their prison term is up. Certainly, violent men get access to their children. Many women are murdered every year because of it. You claim that I do not have fact on my case, I have demonstrated that I do. In science, tradition and observation, women are biologically equipped to care for children. Men are not. Fatherhood has a place, but motherhood must never be undermined in order to assert it. Young children are best placed with the mother, unless there is serious reason why they shouldn't be. Fathers should have access once the children are old enough to cope without the full-time presence of the mother.

@@sisterkerry I accept yout point that children should be with their mothers, in most cases that's the best place. My point was regarding appropriate access to the father, the best situation for any child is to have 2 caring parents involved in their lives. What often spoils this is divorce and the whole argument about money, then the needs of the kids gets put on the back burner and battle between the parents commences. Please don't presume to guess what happened in my situation. Suffice to say I can attest from personal and related family experience that children need both parents to be involved in their lives.

It is good that this film emphasised the tragedy of Mrs Rivett's death and its impact upon her parents. Many reports refer to her only as "the nanny" and, at her funeral, the only flowers which were not sent by her family came from the police. Not one of the Clermont set even bothered to send a tribute. Shameful.

Very entertaining documentary. thanks for the upload. Infortunately, this breed of people do still exist, many of them having a hard time keeping up their houses (ah, poor things). They often have direct bloodlines through hundreds of years when the kingpin man was awarded land, and peasents to work it, by a king. More recently wealthy snobs built their fortune on trade such as slavery, which was responsible for the death of thousands of people being transported. Yes folks, that's our heritage, deep in our culture. And so on... Of course, do bear in mind that our present day culture has it's own shameful, horrific activities going on around us. Society will never have liberation, equality, or even humanity because the fundamental human movitations are greed and power. Only my opinion of course:)

As a woman I am most taken by the fact that his wife ended up being an unfit mother. But of course Lucan was an unfit parent too. Thank God his wife's sister did the right thing presumably offering their children some stability in their teenage years. I was so glad they gave some recognition the the one murdered person Sandra. This trial was thoroughly covered in the US. and I was fascinated with the whole thing.

Interesting speculation, but I think the simplest explanation is the best. He had already hired a boat, or borrowed it from one of his 'friends', most probably, in order to dump what he hoped would be the corpse of his wife, Veronica. That's why he brought the cloth sac to the house. Now, instead, due to the change in circumstances, he used that same boat to commit suicide. It seems fairly self-evident to me, whereas the counter-stories are more contrived.

Super well done... although the main thrust was a mocking of the inner workings of some small group of supercillious English "nobility" which I found stinky. I would have much preferred a police procedural point of view as the main perspective. The narration by a neutral observer was good but not enough.

I must say that one is innocent till proven guilty! Although he is addicted to gambling does not automatically makes him a totally rotten person, why shall I believe what she says? I wasn't there no one was, so it's her word against his. Plus she was trying falsely accuse him in child abuse earlier so she'd get the custody , it's already lessen my creability in her. Something about her is not sitting right here... I don't think she's that innocent as she trying to portray herself. Wish we could hear her childrens story.... Anyway, it's still a mystery, wish we knew what happened to him. Maybe, just maybe, she killed him ... Anything possible...

At least one documentary includes an interview with Lucan's now adult son. In this brief interview he presents this theory: That his father had planned a theft of his own possessions, from the house where his wife and children were living. Lord Lucan was in serious need of money, according to this son, and so may have hired an accomplice to steal objects from the house, either for an insurance payment or for resale. According to this theory, Lucan provided a heavy pipe, wrapped in layers of tape, for breaking a window on the way out. This was a reference to the pipe found in the trunk of the car which Lucan abandoned. Police investigators labeled this pipe as the weapon which had been used to kill the woman in the cellar. I don't remember the title of this documentary, so I'm not sure of how you can find it. This son theorizes that his father was capable, and probably guilty, of insurance fraud, but never planned or committed a murder. According to this son, his father may have waited in the borrowed car, for the accomplice to return with the stolen items. The large canvas shipping bag found near the murdered woman's body may have been intended as a prop, for making this look like a burglary by an unknown thief. This documentary emphasizes an important detail: The murdered woman could have prepared tea in the kitchen, located on the floor which Americans would call the "first, or ground, floor". She had to pass by this kitchen to reach steps leading down into the basement, to prepare tea on a small stovetop. In terms of convenience, this would not make very much sense. Attention to this detail brings out the possibility that she had a plan for meeting someone there. This person, if he existed, could have killed her , or the accomplice to the burglary could have used the tape-wrapped pipe against her. He would not have been expecting to find anyone in the dark basement, and may have attacked her, in fear of being caught. In this case, Lucan could have been called guilty, for setting and paying for the plan which led to her death. These are just possibilities, but attention to these details does raise additional possibilities for the perpetration of this crime.

I remember this murder very well. Lucan was a vile man and a total waste of space in this world. The untimely death of Sandra, who had her whole life ahead of her, is a terrible tragedy and must have been unbearable for all of her family and friends! It would have been better if Lucan had never been born.
