I was there at Cameron Park Zoo for the SDBA drag boat racing event. Brazos River at Waco on September 2-4, 2011. I did help offload the boats on the ramp and did watch the races for the first two days. It was too windy that a drag boat racer wiped out and later passed away as a result of the accident. His name was Big John Villasenor. :/

+SOCAL3800 Top Alcohol & Top Fuel boats. The capsules are safety devices in case the boat has problems and comes apart, the capsule will break free and protect the driver and even has oxygen in case it sinks. Without one death is a very real and possible outcome of a crash in a boat that fast.
