This is the type of effort we expect to see every night from this team. No matter the outcome you need to see closer games like this being consistently trying and not laying back. Lyon had a solid bounce back and the 5v5 capitalized when the pp didn't. More of this please.

Lyon needed a big game, and he delivered. Good for him. I like the kid and want him to do well. Kane, despite having 0 points, was not from a lack of effort. He could have easily had 3 assists if the boys converted. Looks like we have our second line(hopefully). Jonny Fuckin' Burgers that's how it's done, TOP shelf. Take that confidence into the Boston game boys, LFGRW!

Wooo! We didn’t lose on Datsyuk night 😅😅😅 Back half of that game was the best we’ve looked in a while. Like the line shakeup. Line two looks to have potential. Never felt like we were out of this one, although it was frustrating not capitalizing on the PP. Great to see Jonny on the spot get another one. Razor with the GWG! @@edenisburningthis group of players have to learn to play structured hockey. They can barely do that for Lalonde, bringing in another coach or letting one of the assistants finish out the season will not help. This team hopefully will turn things around, I think they will finish out this month pretty good, and they’ll be in a WC spot or just a point or 2 out of it come icy American thanksgiving. The type of hockey that Lalonde wants them to play ain’t hard to figure out, it’s on the players right now to execute it. It’s team defense, and that’ll sooner or later translate into some offensive. This team is worse than last season unfortunately but not by much. They’ll turn things around I’m sure. Lots of season left.

When you are struggling a win is a win , not the greatest game but if it starts them on their winning ways then it was a great game ! Moving Motte with 71 was a good move he played hard and gave some energy to the line ! When 93 starts putting those passes from 88 in the net it could really turn around ! Just a note great accomplishment coming up from a tough Chicago kid 500 NHL games for Fischer !

The sentiment has turned on LaLonde. I know I have lost confidence. He seems like a great guy but tactician and game manager.. when was the last time a coach in Detroit made an intermission adjustment that changed the game. It used to happen here regularly,.. but not once since Blash was calling the shots. What we have here now is Blash 2.0 and the longer this drags on the more of a reflection it is on Yzerman.

Seems like if you let the players off the offense leash a little bit, they start looking like they’re enjoying theirself, and are motivated to play. The line comps were good this game, wtf was this all season egg head? The players didnt look miserable all game, hopefully we can start building a streak. Go Wings.

I do not understand how Lalonde can see the good in certain things, I genuinely think the line combinations he went with nearly screwed us, and he even changed them mid game, except he just changed them to another weird thing with Motte on the first line. Ridiculous. Berggren was much less noticeable tonight because he was held down by his linemates, he should be playing with other highly skilled players. And play Johansson more, he was better than Gustafsson tonight. Good effort though. They can probably play better, but at least it was a consistent level of play for all 60 minutes.

These line combinations brought us more shots and better offensive zone possession along with a consistent forecheck. Why does it matter if he's mixing up lines? If it doesn't work we cant get any worse. Berggren has 3 goals in 5 games now. Idc how they do it at this point as long they're trying to do something different than doing the same old pattern of failing.

Was not impressed at all. 2 goals late after the big line changes and the other team lays back? Not looking good on the coach. Roys fault and the Islanders..As all season long getting lucky is not sustainable. This team should have half the wins they have.
