I have really loved following your channel and seeing the unique roadtrips you lay out! Thank you so much, Paula! ❤ I usually take about a day or two to plan our rough route for each country. Then, once we are there, we check the weather report regularly and remain fairly flexible as to where we go next. Sometimes, we also sit out a strong storm if that lasts two or three days :)

Super travel and hiking around Slovenia. You have passed near Ptujska gora. It is place to one of the most famous churches of St. Mary the Patron in Slovenia. It was built in the early 15th century in the Gothic style. Next to the altar is a relief of St. Mary, who hides a high-ranking ecclesiastical and secular lords under a coat. Among them are the Counts of Celje and the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire Sigismund of Luxembourg, King of Hungary. The Counts of Celje were at that time the main rivals for taking over the future Habsburg Empire. They had a succession contract with the Habsburgs, which granted all the inheritance to the other signatory of the contract in the event of the dynasty's extinction. With the death of the last Ulrik IV., the Habsburgs inherited the large property of the Princes of Celje. If things had turned out differently, the Habsburg Empire would have been called something else.

Woww you prepared so well for exploring Slovenia! You must've done a great amount of research and effort! Usually content creators just check the touristy hotspots and focus on super touristy things like hotels, food and how they are tired, thirsty during hiking ( if they even do that ) and how many hours this takes and that takes on the road or in queue and whatnot ( always sounding like they are in rush to just to put checkmark to whole country of Slovenia ) . But it's really really boring to me. This is way better! Yes you speak your mind but for the most part it gives an illusion that nature is speaking for itself and that is beautiful!!! I love your approach much more. Feels more natural and not forced. Feels like you actually enjoyed the journey and wasn't just looking at it as project to finish as soon as possible to get new content as soon as possible or to earn more money fast with next destination. You really let your mind go free and let experience itself tell you the pace. Your video has immersion unlike any other ( or at least most of others that I've seen ) . It's like heaven!

word to the wise, always use a helmet when climbing any summit with steep rocky terrain. you never know, even a small rock from somebody's slip could make a big dent in your journey.

You are 100% correct! I actually bought a helmet specifically to climb Triglav but then was too lazy too carry it. Luckily I was almost entirely alone on all the hikes in Slovenia which vastly reduced the danger 😊
