Thanks so much! We’re really loving slow travel. It helps us enjoy the destination so much more without getting burned out from constantly changing locations every week.

Hey guys! Thanks for the video! Me and my wife would like to visit the island for our 10 year anniversary. A question How is the seaweed problem, the Sargassum? I’m not seeing any in the video on the beaches or in the water it looks great.
@LucasWorldTravel4 ай бұрын
We didn’t see any seaweed on the Southwest side of the island in March. I don’t know if this is because they clean the beach or because that’s how it is naturally though.

We have only been to Barbados once and we will be returning on in January 2027. We would like to know you could recommend a good beach that may be relatively close to the cruise port.

Yes, stay by Carlisle Bay. There are several big hotels like Radisson and Hilton by there and it's a gorgeous beach!

is june a good time to visit??
@LucasWorldTravel2 ай бұрын
June is the start of rainy season/hurricane season so you are rolling the dice a little bit. Naturally you can go to Barbados anytime you want, it's just the weather may not be as good.

And we always thought raisins in the coleslaw was a white people thing...lol
@LucasWorldTravel5 ай бұрын
See! This is why we got to travel and be open to trying things. I really liked raisins on coleslaw. And like learning that it has a Caribbean origin.
@iriecamp2824 ай бұрын
I was working for a white family in North Carolina, and I told them putting raisins in coleslaw is no when they offered food, the grandmother walked out and said she learnt it in Barbados, I asked her if that was a white country. She looked at me and said it was the most successful black country most black Americans knew nothing about. I felt weird hearing that, looked it up and was shocked, they have free universal health care, Free education and the economy was strong like she said. Visited and for the first time I saw what black people could accomplish if we had their mindset.
