He is indeed a legendary singer with a outstanding voice but he isn't the best but he is a very good second best. Dimash is a more talented singer that can sing perfect live. Has perfect mic/breath control. Sings with emotion and is a story teller. Can switch perfect between 7 octaves. He has is multi talented. He can sing any music genre and can sing in over 15 languages. He plays over 7 instruments and can dance. And he is still only 28.

@@Spo-Dee-O-Dee I recommend you to watch the three Samoan opera singers who are Sol3 Mio, Pene Pati (also on KZbin as Darren Pene Pati), Amitai Pati, both tenors, and their cousin Moses Mackay, a baritone. Their families moved to New Zealand and their high school music teacher recognised their talent. They later went to Wales on scholarships and graduated with a Master’s degree in Opera Singing. Dame Malvina Major, the retired NZ soprano, sang with Luciano Pavarotti in London early in his career and is on record saying that she can hear the young Pavarotti in Pene Pati’s voice. The two brothers sing “Nessun Dorma” on the Sol3 Mio channel but it’s just the recording from their album. Pene sings the first half and Amitai the second half. A live version is on their concert DVD. There’s a separate video of Pene singing “Nessun Dorma” and “La donna e mobile” where you can hear why his voice now reminds more than a few of us of Pavarotti. Apart from his opera singing Moses Mackay also composes and sings crossover songs. His newest ones on the Moses Mackay YT channel deserve recognition - “Some Sorta Sensation” and “Embers Of Fire”. The latter song really shows off his operatic talent. They’re from his new album “Grace”. He also plays piano, double bass and guitar. Both the Pati brothers play piano and guitar. They’re introducing a whole new generation to opera which is great to see.

Nick - if you ever get the chance to study classical voice, Please do ! You have a gorgeous baritone and you’re so musical! Nessun Dorma means “ no one sleeps “ because the Chinese princess will execute the whole town if he doesn’t guess the answers to three riddles correctly. Fairytale! ! I always recommend CARMEN for new opera goers. It’s highly melodic, rhythmical and sexy! You know themes from it- especially the Toreador song. A must watch!!

Yeah he really lives this song and feels and makes you feel all of this. Pavarotti is incredibly good. Going to the opera, at least once, is great. I'm not really an opera fan, but we went once last year and it was great! The song's title means 'no-one sleeps': the princess ordered the village to remain awake all night to discover the identity of the person Pavarotti is playing. The Charismatic Voice did a great reaction of this performance and goes into great detail about everything. She also said that he had trouble at first, quit for a while before rising to stardom. My vocal coach has me sing an aria for the development of my voice :-)

The Great Maestro named LUCIANO PAVAROTTI had this incredible ability to touched your SOUL.... using his exceptional VOICE. He usually touched and vibrate the souls of the HUMANS who heard his arias...... and even the ANGELS stopped in fascination just to listen to this miracle voice of a MAN.

As others have said this holds memories of others too. My dad passed away a few months ago and he used to be an amateur operatic singer who terrified me as a kid belting this out around the house full throatedly. Brings a tear to my eye. They are expensive things to go watch, and a lot of rich toffs go usually but it’s well worth going in person if ever the opportunity arises to feel the music shaking your whole body not just through headphones.

Pavarotti performed this role in the opera "Turandot" many times. In this concert, at the end of this song when he sings "I will win, I will win, I will win", his facial expressions are part of that role, he is acting. I watch a lot of operas on KZbin, many with English subtitles so you know what it's about. If you're new to opera, start with the lighter, comical operas like The Barber of Seville (Rossini) or The Marriage of Figaro (Mozart). Carmen is a big fan favorite, also Madame Butterfly and LaTraviata, though all 3 have sad endings.

Yeah, Pavarotti is incredibly good, he is considered one of the greatest tenors of all time, and he also became well known as a duet partner to many pop artists, he was one of the biggest superstars. Enrico Caruso is considered the greatest tenor of all time. He was born to poor parents in Naples in 1873 and begged his way through life as a street singer to pay for singing lessons. I grew up with Mario Lanza, an Italian-American born in Philadelphia in 1921 who has become known as an opera singer (tenor) and actor around the world. I still love his films to this day. The most beautiful film with Mario Lanza was from 1951 (The Great Caruso). I'm not an opera fan, I've dealt with this topic a little bit, that's fascinating, because the rock and pop music that we listen to today was influenced by a lot of musical styles. A good example was Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of Queen, who let the opera music influence his voice but also his stage presence. A good example is the song, Bohemian Rhapsody, which contains elements of opera.
