I'm so glad average people I meet in the real world are starting to be aware of Lucid. Driving my Air GT for just over 2 years, among the most common questions I have been asked was "Who/What is a Lucid?" More and more now I hear some variation of "I've been looking at Lucids online, but this is the first one I've seen." In any of the versions the Lucid Air is an amazing car. So much so that many 'enthusiastic' Tesla fans and investors feel threatened and have been posting exaggerated negative things about the car and the company. That is unfortunate. There is room enough in the market for both companies. They really sell do different markets. Tesla sells today to people leaving Toyota/Honda/GM while Lucid steals customers from the Mercedes/BMW/Audi market. The base Air GT is close to the same price as a base Model S but driving each will show that they have very different characters.

You've got a great car! I'm so impressed with what Lucid has some up with. I'm not sure what anyone can say negative about the Air itself, other than small nit picks that for the most part come down to personal preferences. As for the company, I'm rooting for them. Lucid makes a solid product.

@@EVRider Thanks. You’ll see lots of comments by the Tesla crowd about Lucid’s finances. That is the main topic now since there are enough Lucids on the road and in showrooms to undermine the digs at the car itself. Lucid has a trillion dollar fund as majority and controlling owner, so sales are attacked and the funds Saudi roots are attacked. Meh. They are just in a panic about their own heavy investments in Tesla’s distracted and drug addled leader.

There are some concept renderings of the Lucid as a station wagon floating around out there. Search "lucid air station wagon concept drawing" and they'll come right up.

I am planning to lease one, but I have J1772 charger at home. Can I use J1772 charger to charge lucid?

Absolutely. The Air comes standard with a combo CCS/J-1772 inlet. Your existing charger will work fine to juice it up. The question is charging speed. Depending on your charger and circuit size, you might find it slow. For example, a 20-amp circuit paired with a 3.5 kW Level 2 J-1772 charger is fine for plug-in hybrids with small batteries but most pure-EV drivers will want at least a 30 amp circuit and preferably more if they have a modern home with enough remaining breaker box capacity.
