Even when fully loaded, the Gravity remains less expensive than the Air Grand Touring, despite being an SUV , which typically should costs more. So, please be fair in your review. I understand you’re doing this for your audience, and mentioning some downsides would build trust, but your point about the price of added options compared to the Air Grand Touring’s price doesn’t quite add up. They’re penny pinching because it has an enormous battery. And even for the 125k price, it still won’t be profitable
@Dr.Octogon17 күн бұрын
Please clarify what makes the battery enormous. What are you using as a baseline? Their battery is smaller than Rivians, way smaller than GM's. Lucid achieves their range from efficiency innovations. The battery is only 118 kWh. Model X for example, is 100 kWh.
@jacobB1290H17 күн бұрын
@ for them it would be so easy to make a profitable compelling car. Reduce the battery to 90kw cutting thousands in the manufacturing cost. They have a talent in making efficient cars, so at 90KW they would still have competitive range. Include all those tiny upgrades in and sell the car for 90K. Right now The Tesla model X for 72K has far more features included in the price for far less. All lucid has over the X is range, and maybe a tiny bit of interior space due to the squared off back. Definitely not worth an extra 50k in the price

@ the Tesla sold for that high price because there was demand at the price. Why sell the car for cheap, you’re leaving money on the table. Lucid on the other hand has very little demand and still has to try to win over people. And the build quality issues is a myth. Maybe we’re true in the early days of Tesla. And don’t think lucid is exempt from the build quality issues
@Dr.Octogon16 күн бұрын
@@jacobB1290H actually the Lucid Gravity’s cargo space is allot more than the Model X. 120 cubic feet for Lucid Gravity vs Model X 91 cubic feet. To put it in perspective the GMC Yukon Denali is 122 cubic feet. It boils down to what you value. I was looking forward to the 79k model, but since there are no range estimates right now and no clarity on the differences it is hard to tell where the value is in the starting price. But Lucid Gravity’s cargo space is allot bigger than Model X and this is their top trim. Top optioned Model X falls in the same price range.
